Alec Skorpio
I connected with all three, I thought all three had pretty decent back stories. Maybe you should try doing the friend activities instead of just running through the missions? Seriously, how did you guys dun goof like this? killahmatic
I dont mind either way, but 3 characters gives me more ideas in free roam.
Tracksuit Hitman
I enjoyed playing as three protagonists and must disagree with the OP. I hope that multiple protagonists are in the next game in the series. aka geobst
iNero
It would be cool if in the next GTA you could switch between 2. Like I said, 2 is the limit for me. I also dont like that you have to switch to make some of the activities. Like Im in a Tow Truck and would like to make them just for fun and then cant do it because only Franklin can do it... Zancudo
Bullsh*t. I enjoy each and every one of them, and I connect to them easily. Actually, I've already connected to them more than I've connected to Johnny Klebitz or Luis Lopez - and I haven't even beat 1/4 of the campaign. Three protagonists was a brilliant idea. woggleman
I like experiencing the world from three very different perspectives.
stee_vo
I like multiple protags, however, next time they could focus a bit harder on making the story really interesting for all of them.

I like TBOGT but Luis Lopez was the worst protagonist and his voice actor was awful.
damian001
I agree, 69 missions is far too little, especially distributed between 3 characters. I wanted the game to be around the same length as San Andreas, which had 105 missions for CJ. Something like 120 missions would've been nice for GTAV. 40 missions for each of the three players. voad1
I loved all 3 characters and felt a close attachment to them all.
voad1
I also have to say that 3 protags doesn't make the character more shallow really. There are tons and tons of movies with more than one protag, same with books. Games have always focused on one characters perspective and this way of telling a story in a game is refreshing and seems almost more cinematic. But at the same time there are so many great details and ways you can approach something with the different characters that lets you get little tid bits of story, character development, or just little dialog. Things that could never happen in a movie or a book.
ezfaun
As long as you can have a customizable online protag, whateva.
Kipsta
2 characters. That would be better. that would be an idea at least. 2 brothers or best friends. but then they really need a good background story and all that. they have to have a really close relation right from the start Knowing Rockstar, you'd have to kill one of them at the end... JOSEPH X
I enjoyed it. One of the main reasons is that I think it is better than having a fast travel system. If you're out at sea and you're bored of what you are doing you can switch characters and do something else quickly. There's also that element of randomness in where you pick them up from. With the variety of things to do in the game, a character that does them all would be a messed up character. With multiple characters you can have one who does rampages and one who does golf.
