I think its done terribly. There are probably 4 stealth missions out of 69 missions. Stealth in free roam is non existant really. Silencers arent really worth equiping. the envoirnment and mission are done well but some of the features are pointless. I rate this game a 8 out of 10. The animations are beautiful aswell.

It was done a hell of a lot better than in San Andreas. At least you can somewhat use it outside of missions, and there are more missions where it can be utilized.

Seriously, nobody remembers this, but stealth was hyped up a crap ton for San Andreas, and then it was only used in a single mission. And depending on your brightness settings, it broke during that mission.

I think th ey had to stop and just release the game. They had so many things to have great stealth in this one.You can shoot out lights but still you can be seen, silencers. You cant stealth in free roam really cops will spawn in your area.

I think it's fine, I just wish I didn't get a wanted level for silently murdering someone in an isolated area

You can evade cops using stealth though, even if they're within the sight radius. Try crouching in some bushes when wanted, your player icon will turn grey and cops won't see you.

yea that's what I mean everytime you do a stealth kill on 2 people on the mountain ypu get instant star when the bullet hits the second guys head. Stealth in free roam isnt good its ok in mission.

What stealth? Every time I try and crouch down my character just starts walking like he has to take a dump or something.

Stealth is pretty much useless in about 97% of the game, then again GTA has never really been a game of stealth.

This is a given seeing as how GTA V is on a new system.

Still, the stealth is not as good as other games that have stealth for this current gen.

Hell, even RDR has better stealth.

RDR had no stealth if u use the throwing knives everyone will be alerted, have an automatic witness. And if you kill a witness another one will spawn.

What is the point in silencers? If nobody is around and you are in a secluded area and you kill someone using a silencer 90% of the time you'll obtain a wanted level. It seems like the only thing silencers do is decrease your range which is a shame.

I try shooting out light during a few of the missions, it did nothing.

It is underused and most people I have seen playing don't even realize it is there.

Running around gunning in the army base and the prison. Duh, just sneak and be out of sight and don't let anyone see you - they all have lines of sight like the cops, you just can't see their cone.

You can sneak all over in this game and even hide in bushes and not be seen, occluded from their sight.

It's underused/not understood fully by the community so far that it is an invaluable tool for getting around the "auto wanted" areas - it's not just auto wanted all the time, it seems, it appears that someone needs to spot you. :^:

Maybe not at the base, but at the prison, you can hide and not be caught or be seen and lose the wanted lever and sneak around.

I have max stealth on Michael and even if I am in a dark alley, with only 1 pedestrian in sight, doing a stealth knock-out always triggers a wanted level. People from halfway across town start screaming the moment I knock the pedestrian out and instant 1 star wanted level.

Stealth feels pretty f*cking broken right now.

definition of r* right there^^

gta3 to vice city was just popped tires, broke windshields, clothes/shopping,

vice city to san andreas was just a bigger

gta4 was graphically enhanced but really a step backwards otherwise

and now we have a slightly refined but not exceptionally enhanced, just bigger gta4

hoping online has more to it cuz im bored of single player gta :(

GTA is about destruction and creating havoc who cares about stealth

Obviously I do, they shouldnt add stealth if it is broken. And if thats the case then why did they add yoga, golf and tennis if its all about destruction. They want GTA to be more than that obv, why did you comment on this post anyway?

GRINCH ASS BITCH

Yeah, I think it was a lost opportunity. Outside of a few missions, it's basically useless as the all-knowing, all-seeing cops will know exactly where you are when you fire at them, ignoring the fact that you're using a silenced rifle from a hundred meters away. So much potential.

Typical fanboy thinking there is nothing wrong or flawed with this game. Most of you fanboys statements are "you just suck at it".
