This is what I was thinking, too. Michael's first robbery was either in or very close to Carcer City (which is in the US, possibly in a Midwestern or Eastern state, it's never mentioned where exactly it is but it's got elements of certain cities from both regions), so if anything, that could be his hometown. Alec Skorpio Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 Yeah, I was going to say I always thought Carcer City was supposed to be Detroit (even though GTAIII says Carcer City is nearby Liberty City) If Carcer City in the HD Universe is supposed to be anything like it was in the 3D Universe, I'd say it might as well be Detroit by now. In GTA IV I belive the in game stats claim that Carcer is closer to Liberty than " Capital City" (presumably Washington D.C.), based on Real life distances Carcer may actually be based on Philadelphia.
