CapnManic
And what part of the car is the gas tank located to make it leak and follow the gas trail up with gunfire? So far, this is the only way I'm aware of how bullets cause massive booms.
Ninjambie
1. Shoot the engine. 2. Where would you normally shoot a car to hit the gas tank?
seanforever
I kind of dislike how much gunfire abuse the cars take before they blow up. Man back in GTA3 you could take out a car with 1 well-placed shotgun round.

Silver lining, I suppose.. there is a happy medium between 1 shotgun round and my entire assault shotgun extended clip not doing anything where a car should blow up Ninjambie

Scar3dGam3r
In real life, riddling a car with bullets isn't gonna make it blow up. Aim for the space between the rear tires and the rest of the car. That's where the gas tank is located.
Kulgrim
I kind of dislike how much gunfire abuse the cars take before they blow up. Man back in GTA3 you could take out a car with 1 well-placed shotgun round. Well placed? You simply shot the gas cap, which in no way would cause a car to explode. I actually appreciate how difficult it is to blow a car up with bullets, something that is actually very hard to do. Want an easy way to explode cars? Heavy weapons, you have a grenade launch, rpg (not to be confused with a rocket launcher which we dont have), the minigun, you have grenades and plastique explosives; yet you want bullets, fired from an assault rifle, most likely using 5.56mmx45mm round to explode a vehicle...come on really? The only place that might cause an explosion, and really even that would take some work would be the gas tank. Engineblock? hell no, shoot that all day long it aint goin boom. Doors?, nope, but it might cause the driver to have a real sh*tty day. Trunk?, only if they have something explosive in there in the first place....
