Decoding the Mount Chiliad Mural

He's talking about overlaying the mural a certain way so the jetpack picture is at the army base, i think

I will retract my previous statement about the yoga pose, I wasn;t thinking straight you can't do it at the top of chiliad so it can;t be that. I am convinced we need to stand at the red eye on top of chiliad with all 5 requirements matched. Only problem is we only know 3 of the 5.

Perhaps we shoudl try making a list of gameplay mechanics that could be used and tracked by the game, so far i can think of:

A specific amount of money. $0? $50,000?

A specific vehicle

A specific moon phase

A specific day

A specific date

A specific weapon

A specific outfit

A specific character

Whatever it is it would have needed to be easily represented by a simple picture as well like the others are.

I truely think that if we can work out the what the other two glyphs should be we will find answers, it seems to me that this is how this is designed to be solved too, i don't think Rockstar wanted us to search the entire map trying to link anything and everything with the mural i think it's self contained and can be solved at the top of chiliad. Stand at the eye and meet all the requirements from the red crosses and you will get the rewards at the bottom.

I think the other 2 UFO's are seperate easter eggs/secrets and that is why the chiliad one is so different

Another very important thing to do would be to verify the authenticity of the claim that Rockstar have stated the docker is not relevant because that could very easily be one of the glyphs

I do think we should decide what is most likely to be in the 2 boxes and start to list the possible requirements, begin testing and checking off. There isn't enough testing ath the top of chiliad at the moment everyone is off trying to find this other UFO which may or may not exist, meanwhile we have 2 red crosses that we have not deciphered. Why have we moved away from the Mural when we are yet to fully understand it?

I saw a copy and image of the ticket myself so I believe the guy who posted it on these forums.

Ok so that rules that out then.

AnEvilVet i'm interested to hear your current theory, you are extremely knowledgable but somewhat changeable with your theories, do you give any credence to my suggestion or do you have an alternate. The last i remember reading of yours you were now convinced that the mural was only to depict how to see the ufo and there was no jetpack. I would have to disagree with both and i just hope that you haven't given up looking?

i'm thinking about it and here's the thing.I believe that the gameplay mechanic connected to the mystery is the mobile phone. You can call numbers but I don't recall anyone ever answering,it's always answer machines(like random numbers from businesses). But I believe that the clues we need are numbers.

That's why I try to collect every string of numbers I find, you never know, for example

0_0.jpgsee 31.08.09 on the box0_0.jpg

rsnrth=rockstar north 281078

0_0.jpg

again,it could be nothing. It depends on how difficult they decided to make the solution. Will it be found in a few months or in a few years?

Once again, I'm right with you on the general theory, but it doesn't seem possible to do with trial and error. It would be a herculean task to explain the maths entirely, but just have a think about how many combinations this would throw up. If you take 2 of the relatively simple ones as an example, say character and day; 3 characters, 7 days. 3x7=21. So, that's 21 trips to Chiliad just to rule out that specific combination. You would then have to keep one condition and try with another, say character and vehicle. 3 characters, let's say conservatively 50 vehicles. 3x50=150. So you can see how it would take months and months just to try everything this way, even with everyone on the forum doing it. Like I say, I still like this theory, but if this was it there must be some clues as to the other 2 conditions. That's why I thought Sunday, because of the sun glyphs at the altruist camp.

The tunnel is for a mission where you enter from the sea in scuba gear to steal a "perfume".

Edit: Nevermind, someone already mentioned this. :p

"Will it be found in a few months or in a few years?"

I think it will take a few more weeks at least, we may even need a hint from Rockstar but so far as the theory that says that there are millions of people looking and no-one has found it therefore it does not exist I don;t think that is neccisarily true. The majority of people playing the game won't be looking as in depth as we are, i would say that ther may be thousands looking but not tens of thousands and i wold say the amount people like me who are going to sleep every night thinking about it is probably only in the hundreds.

Plus there's the fact that a lot of people are using cheats which in theory could be locking something out.

If this was a company and i was in charge i would concentrate fully on making a list of possible 4th and 5th glyphs and use this to come up with a list (however long) of sets of 5 requirements to test at the top of Mount Chiliad. I would designate AnEvilVet to collate and track all things that have been tried and i would designate everyone who has 100% and has not used cheats to start testing. It would take a long, long time even with a decent sized team of testers because of having to wait for the weather without using cheats but that would be the only way to be sure of anything.

I agree, I have thought about the maths and it is a mammouth task, i guess there could be clues towards what the glyphs could be but i am loathe to take my search away from Mount Chiliad. The 2 clues we definitely have is that it would have to be able to be tracked by the game and be represented by a simple picture. For instance a certain character might not be that easy to represent using basic symbols, so we come up with a list and possible symbols and start with the most likely.

Not sure if this relevant to this thread exactly but I have compiiled the markings at the hippy camp into an easy to view format, again sorry if not relevant here.

zblZYAy.png

Every time I look at these symbols I think of the flash game "Flow". I still think there is a meaning there somewhere to these things.

To comment on some things posted some pages back about people linking things like the jetpack to military, I just wanted to add in my opinions.

I am 42 and have done two separate military stints in my life. Both times going overseas during war time efforts and when I look at a jetpack, I do not think Military.

I think of things like the 6million dollar man or James Bond type stuff and recently, the videos with the guys that made a jetpack of sorts out of water.

I have 100% as of a couple days before this weekend. Saturday was the first time I have used a cheat in the game and decided to go into the Fort with invisibility cheat. There is no taking over the place as they just keep spawning more and more and I looked in many of the terminals and barracks areas but I could not find anything of any value.

My brother and I started copying down those symbols and it struck me odd that one appeared to resemble a mobius loop (infinity symbol). Thinking back to the Infinite 8 killer I wondered if there was some connection until I looked at the 2nd symbol in that picture. I glanced over it and the word "GOD" jumped out at me. Suddenly, a chill ran down my spine as my mind started swimming with thoughts. I'm not certain of it but it does resemble it rather closely. Also, after examining the area the characters seem to read vertically, from top to bottom as a sentence and then possibly right to left, similar to how japanese characters are read.

Edit: also, I can't help but wonder if the song Nine is God is tied to the murders although somewhat irrelevant to Mt. Chiliad. But I also can't help but think of why the characters are positioned the way they are in the character wheel. Michael is arguably the main character as it seems most of the plot revolves around him, at least to my understanding, and yet Franklin is set atop the character wheel. Tie in the unique religious opportunities for all 3 characters and I can't help but think there is a loose strand tying all these mysteries together...

Haha, I was thinking about that quote in relation to this the other day. I suppose you could start whittling it down that way, but I think that most of those conditions you mentioned couldn't be represented by a glyph in the way the others have been. If you come up with a list, we could take a look at the maths of the likely ones and maybe it would be achievable. I still think we would need a clue if this theory were to be correct though.

I wish i could come up with a list! Like you said everything i can think of is not easily represented by a symbol

My best one would be a $ sign, so go there with exactly $0 or exactly $50,000. 50,000 because of the blue print map and 0 because i read somewhere about emptying yourself of money or some such nonsense. I don't think thats right but it's the easiest to represent

But i am stumped for the other, would be handy to know if the game tracked the date and possibly a set of numbers or tally marks could represent a date easily but we have no real clues towards what date to use.

Side note those pictures that keep getting posted look incredibly like crop circles to me, probably just another distraction i'd say. Another not so subtle hint from Rockstar that there is extra terrestrial like in San Andreas, Have you noticed there is a lot of dialogue about "the truth" especially during story missions involving the IAA, I think it all is just to get us on the hunt but the real clues are in the mural and on the mountain

How about you play the story first before you go making yourself look dumb?

Yes, I have played through the story and I've reached 100%. Logic dictates that areas with high security should be checked thoroughly like Fort Zacundo and The Humanes Lab. What have YOU found???? Maybe you should think about what you are going to say before you make yourself look dumb.

I'm not at 100% but regarding the post I made earlier ( http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/snapmatic/photo/VvLc6fgn9Eu5OBww2offyw ) there is no light at the top of the pyramid. During night time there is a red glow above the building. It could be a glitch or it could be something else. If someone with 100% completion wants to fly above that building they may find something.

Just a thought.

Guys, please stop arguing. It takes a bigger person to literally just ignore being called a bellend. Someone posts something that's been covered a million times? Who cares?! That person may be knew or may be mistaken, it doesn't matter as they're following our footsteps and may build on our work. Simply bring them up to speed and see if they can help where we are stuck.

We're all people with very similar interests and I'm sure we'd all be good friends IRL as we have such similar interests and thoughts. There are plenty of bellends out there on the internet and in real life, let's not bring that bellendery to this place please.

Has anyone had any luck in the docks or city finding a pyramid? That shaft guy was hinting at one earlier and I'm at work :\

If people are interest they should look up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cao_Dai alot their mytology is apparent in the game, for instance they have three leading figures in there religion the Saint, Sage and Buddha.

Cao means "high" and Đài means "dais" (as in a platform or altar raised above the surrounding level to give prominence to the person on it).

The Eye in the triangle is a symbol for the're religion.

There are 36 levels of Heaven and 72 planets harboring intelligent life, with number one being the closest to heaven and 72 nearest to Hell. Earth is number 68.

One of the three founders of this religion Ngo Van Chieu was raised by his Aunt (Franklin) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ng%C3%B4_V%C4%83n_Chi%C3%AAu)

Interestingly one of the rules are tp Participate in worship to the Supreme Being through four daily ceremonies, at 6:00 a.m., noon, 6:00 p.m., and midnight, with at least one ceremony per day at home. How many places can Yoga be done at in the game, including Michaels House? (http://religions.findthedata.org/l/43/Cao-Dai)

I know its all subjective, but perhaps there is a connection here that we could use but I for one am clutching at straws at the moments and really need to get this tinfoil off

Penris is also an anagram of Ripens, like the fruit on the trees mentioned in Epsilonism. Just because something is an anagram doesn't mean it has any relevance though.

I am surprised no one has every mentioned it in this way either, Penris could just be a run off of Penis. Hell, look at the Armor trucks. Gruppe 6 / Group Sex.

The red glow generally represents an anti-collision beacon (red lights), the type which you find atop most taller buildings in most US cities... But, the fact that if you hover chopper at the correct height it sort of aligns with the eye in the Penris building logo, across the street, is probably no mere coincidence.

How significant it is... ? Who can say.

Perhaps it is another of the alignment clues like the eye sculptures at Koltz center and the two at the observatory.

Yeah, in most of the GTA games the naming held a lot of double entendres, most of which were sexual in nature... Examples Cherry Popper Ice Cream, the Sanchez dirt bike (a "Dirty Sanchez"... if you don't know what that is pleeeeze don't ask), Fudge Packer Candy Company, Arse Haul - U-haul/A**hole... the list goes on.

But in this one they seem to mostly be carry overs from the previous games and many of the newer ones seem more normal... perhaps that was done so as to make the names that bear significance to the mystery just stand out a little better.

Who knows.

In 3D CGI you do not need an actual "bulb" to generate a light source. Earlier games never bothered to visually explain where the lights were coming from...(ever play the first tomb raider games?).

They just did not put a beacon detail there, the light is centered, so it is deliberate... My guess is if they added the details of a beacon, it would look less like a pyramid during daylight, yet at night (once you caught on to the eye clues) you might see it better as an eye atop a pyramid.

Definitely not a glitch... I've said it before, I make 3D models... This was done on purpose.

Just wondering, do the ufo's show up online?

I was wondering if it might be a good idea to make a crew so searching places where you normally get the police on you as soon as youstep inside could be searched better since a crew could take on the police.

It would be like doing a hiest without actually earning money.

You and I must really think alike, i have literally been going over X-Files references in my mind for the last hour! Best i can come up with was the metal tags being linked with abductions and the Skyland Mountain. So if i remember correctly the metal tags would lead people up the mountain and from there they would be abducted. Not sure if there are any dogtags or something like that that can be brought and worn?

Also on the date thing from earlier it would be December 22nd 2012 as this was the date the Aliens were supposed to take over in the x-files and also the date the Mayan calender ends. It's also an interesting looking number when written using american or british date formats. 22122012 or 12222012. phone numbers?
