did a compare of the files using a hex edit moon 1 & 2 are too different for only a color change same for the rain 1 & 2. too many differences there.

During the course of those 40 minutes I flew in increasingly growing circles around the peak, so I think it was covered.. But still, just to be safe, do you want to highlight the area you want to search on a map and I'll take a 2nd look tomorrow?

If the other UFOs are supposed to help we know we need to go to the height limit for a start. Ugh. The problem is that they only appear when you practically kiss their shielded ass. Maybe it's directly above the red eye under the platform. Try that during hologram hour. Land on the platform and just fly straight up. Ignore the mountain glyph theorists. It's got flat sides and the mural already stays mountain. The creek was disproved as people tried it. You have NO ARGUMENT. You're being counterproductive.

 

And talkol^ explains how he has been looking, says he's had no luck, offers more help yet you berate him?! Hold your horses sunshine! You should be greatfull to him...

 

I am sure if you try to be civil and level headed you will a) give more weight to your theories and b) people are more likely to offer their help to you - which don't forget is them effectively giving up their free time for you, albeit for something they enjoy.

 

As I have previously said, your theory may hold up but you need to prove it to others before hand. Haven't got 100%? Well then, I suggest you gain the support of the community...

you would have to get a copy of the gamefiles. maybe from your own bluray no clue if that works. well i cant tell you to dl warez files nor where so i wont do that ^^

 

to open the .rpf files you need a programm called LibertyV Grand Theft Auto V RPF Explorer. (will have to look at the link)

 

as for the keys needed to open the archives i cant provide them aswell. you will have to google them.

 

with that tool you can extract the .rpf files and to view .cdt files you can use GTA V Console Texture Editor

 

.dat .xml .g2txt files can be viewed with a text editor.

I've been reading this thread in spare moments for what feels like 3 years. There are some good ideas, but I keeping having to go through pages of arguments to see anything actually relevant to the thread title. I've found a lot of things from other sources too.

 

I'm on 97.5% and all I've got left are under the bridge and knife flight so I'll have my chance to explore this very soon, but it seems a lot simpler than some people are making it.

The mural is showing you when the ufos will appear, and then events after that. It's like a prophecy. The egg, the lines, the jetpack I'm not sure right now but my guess would be hinting at 2 DLC packs. Aliens and a one with a jet pack. Zombies has been done in Red Dead. Think of how epic it would be if random egg pods started showing up around the map. Invasion type scenario.

 

The jetpack content could be pretty much anything as long as it had a jetpack. Think about it. Do you put all your best content in at release, or do you stagger it and make even more money. Making the game three times as epic as it already is. Just a thought seeing as though people have tried pretty much everything and nothing has shown up other than what we know of.

Rockstar will be playing the long game. And so will we.

With regard to the mountain / tractor beam glyph debate it could go either way. The glyph from top to bottom could go;

Cable Cart Building

Mountain (zigzag is path)

OR

UFO

Tractor Beam Box/Device

Tractor Beam

Both have questions - first theory is why draw a mountain that looks like a tractor beam? Second Theory is why only draw that glyph with the 'tractor beam box'? Why not all of them?

 

Originally, I thought it was a beam but since Grumbledores posts, I am not so sure. That's the beauty of a forum, opportunitys to explore things and change your mind should you see fit.

Btw, everybody says you need 100% for the holo.. But the note says come back when your story is complete

 

Did anyone test it after finishing story mode without 100%?

 

If I'm not mistaken, the come back when your story is complete note is deleted when you can trigger the holo, so you can just check if you have this msg or not

I went over snapomatic pics with tag "Ufo" sorted as "popular". Look at the first one, it's a pic of the military ufo.. The share button isn't working well on it, but that's what I have in my browser address:

Indeed. It seems it does that for all photos of the UFOs apart from the hologram.

 

If you take a picture and it detects the UFO in the frame, it simply puts the location off into the sea to stop everyone knowing where it is.

 

Wrong. I took numerous photos of the UFO above Fort Zancudo a few days ago.

The arguing in this thread sometimes makes me want to self harm.

 

Can't you either agree to disagree or just not start arguing? No one has evidence of anything. It's all opinion and speculation. This means that NO-ONE is right as no-one has evidence. Unless you can prove something, don't argue, just say you disagree (or at the very least debate it). Otherwise, everyone looks like a bellend, including me.

 

Regarding the holographic UFO (if it is one and not just generally intangible as it's a video game) why are people thinking that another UFO would be near it? What would the point of that be?

 

Regarding the beam glyph, it could be a teleporter, a path up the mountain, a symbol of a radio tower or the wake of a boat travelling towards the setting sun. There are multiple interpretations but which is the most obvious?

 

Thanks to the guy who drew the radio telescope directions on the map. I'd actually like to see the small satellite dishes like the ones on Vinewood Hill or at the Altruist camp. It would be interesting to see what crosses over, especially over the city.
