Decoding the Mount Chiliad Mural

@stangone... i think it is location based on the spawns... i found going near the prison area made hookies msg me and going other places made others msg me so maybe try driving around...

 

One thing guys...

 

Has anyone actually seen a REAL alien or any clue to one in this game? The ufos are all man made (apart from the underwater one, which i will come to) the drawings are all drawn by either hippies or cultists the aliens we shoot or get abducted by are drugged up visions...

 

The only real indications of a true alien we have are the underwater UFO and maybe the mural and glyphs...

 

What if the underwater ship got hit by an asteroid, crashed to earth, lost its artefact/egg or whatever and is now searching for it... murals and glyphs on chiliad, glyphs on salvation mountain, a sand glyph almost as if some secret alien is walking around doing all this shiz lol ... doesnt seem to be able to get into fort zancudo though... maybe its egg is there or its just searching for it who knows...

 

Just think it is VERY weird the only thing we have that could be used as proof of aliens is the underwater ufo with no markings.

Well I have now golded every mission including the locked missions . Also at 100% with zero deaths or busts and still no ingame notification of anything . I checked the Mural and no changes . Have yet to visit the UFOs though . And im still waiting from a couple property missions to spawn to hit a true 100% but i really dont think it even matters anymore .

I am really begininning to lose hope especially with the DLC announcement . I hope they plan on releasing it for free cuz R* will not get another dime from me till I get my dam Jetpack .

The Dam Social club wont even recognise the fact I have all golds . I have golded the mission derailed atleast 2 times and it refuses to upload onto the site .

 

I know this does not help the thread much but I know alot of people ask well what happenes when you get all golds ... your answer .. absofreakinlutely nada .

I also took brians theory into consideration and let everyone live that I possible could . I killed no pedestrians that I knew of . I did kill a bunch of cows not knowing they were innocents . I only killed off everyone in replays .

 

On a side note .. im lovin trevor in the santa hat lol wish he had one ingame .

 

 

I did deliver the 4 victims to the altruist for the sake of getting a true 100%

But i did leave a file behind where i could bring the last 4 people to their actual destinations just incase .

unfortanetly i saw that outcome. seeing the developement of how games can be played now a days it all gets easier. all in favor for casual gamers. compare gta iv and v. iv was quite challenging sometimes. played it a few times on ps3. v was easy all the way long. i should add i dont play 3rd or 1st person games like gta on consoles. so it doesnt surprise me that you dont get a reward for a true 100%

they do they do. we discovered a few 100 pages ago that the environment changes over time. not only through patches.

I'm a sculptor and the old statue that was there (the girder compass and square)

looks like it was the armature(skeleton) of the statue that is now there.

As far as the theory of the asteroid and the radio announcement

I think this was a reference to ISON and all the speculation/panic that it's discovery caused when it was first announced

but that didn't stop people from creating conspiracy theories

some even went as far as to call it a doomsday comet

well, that was some doomsday comet (sarcasm)

I even remember reading some guys crack-pot idea that if earth passed through the tale of this comet it would trigger a walking dead type scenario

I honestly think he got the idea from the media dubbed term "zombie Comet"

its amazing how many people actually drink that koolaid

it just broke up as it passed around the sun and ironically it didn't hit us

I just don't think constellations will be in this game. Astronomy and all the star stuff, is something that takes yearsssss to learn. And I know for a fact none of us here know any of it, and I don't think R* does.

It was the compass and square on Vespucci beach.

 

Also would like to point out that I dabble in astronomy a bit and know how to navigate using constellations.

I think Rockstar is making something important here, if it was just another not important thingy, they would just put it there instantly. First we've got this skeleton of a statue and now Rockstar added some details and stuff. Like they just want us to wait for the final sculpture, that will solve at least one of the mysteries.

 

(Oh, and by the way, I'm reading this thread from like the beggining, but I didn't create an account until now, I think I will help solving some mysteries)

Well that's pretty crazy they added a massive sculpture out of nowhere. Makes me wonder what else they've done or are going to do. Now I can't help but think they will toy with our heads and that we won't be able to solve this just yet.

 

Anyway, I spotted this at work last night and it made me chuckle. Some of you older fellows might remember this show. It's about a guy who came to Earth in an egg shaped space ship. Hippie/Altruist camp colors and cracked egg in the logo....

One thing about the hippie camp in the desert that stands out to me is

The two hippies sitting by the trailer

none of the other hippies are very aggressive however as soon as you approach the trailer that guy sitting in the chair stands up and says unkind spirit and becomes aggressive with you

 

not really sure what that's all about

so unless explicit instructions are posted on how to obtain the spectrometer

then I call total bull$h!t

At this point photos just tell me that they found a way to hack it even further and force anything into the game

It's there in single player.

 

 

Just a quick update, I've pulled a handful of models from the 360 update today (see here: http://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/comments/1sjoi8/new_statue_on_the_beach)

 

The title of the main model is "prop_sculpt_fix.xdr", the 'fix' part perhaps confirming the theory about the author of the original wanting it removed (although that's not to suggest it is not relevant).

Regarding all the Astronomy (not Astrology, as someone mentioned) stuff that people are bringing up, i must say that i know a bit about this.

I took 3 years of studying Nautical Astronomy in college back in the 90s. Although time as passed it always became a subject of interest to me so i've never forgot about it and even built in some knowledge along the years. Back then, i also learnt about tides and lots of other nautical stuff that does no matter for this discussion at the moment.

 

So, when i started playing the game, i looked if this features where there, or not.

 

Tides are present at the game as everyone knows, though i've never spent enough time on it to fully understand it's cycle, at least if it's somehow moon related or independent (on my to do list...).

 

Evidently a lot of stars are seen in the sky, but from my observations, no known stars or constellations are in game. Although I’ve never checked it back again (this observations were made before the updates, maybe after 1.01), i was never able to find any of the more famous/easy to spot stars (Polar, Sirius, Procyon, Polloyx, Castor, Vega, Bettleguese, etc...) or constelations (Big/Little Dipper, Orion, Cygnus, Southern Cross, Pleiades, etc...).

 

IRL, note that this will change along one Latitude and time of year, usually Venus is the brightest spot at night followed by Sirius. Vega the 5^th brightest (that was the Polar Star about 14.000 y ago) is also very easy to spot as are many others, but i found none of this in the game.

 

Anyone can say that the brightest spot(s) in the game sky stands for Venus, Sirius or Mars, but this would be just a wild guess as there are no other references.

 

I can't really confirm that there's nothing to be seen that's star related (ie some R* custom made constellation´s easter eggs), since when I realized that the sky was just some dots (apparently) randomly placed, i lost the interest on it I initially had, but I can confirm that no regular Astronomy stuff was used in this game, as far as my observations took me.

 

Anyway, i'll check it once again after this last patch and bring in any news of interst, if any.

 

Since seasons are not present, It would not be that difficult to place some real life Astronomy in game, with some weekly cycle or any other, but it really seems to me that R* did not choose to apply this.
