I meant, that always find away to talk around the issue. They never give a straight up answer or solution. And maybe I shouldn't have used the "" and used other words but Rockstar isn't helpfull in this kind of situations. They have let people search for bigfoot for ages, while they knew it wasn't there and people asked and they always avoided the issue. They love this stuff, I can't blame them. If it was my game I would do the same, to keep the hype and fame going.

You should respond to support saying "This needs to be escalated to the next tier; Because I have this jetpack and it keeps disappearing. I don't appreciate being called a liar by a rockstar support specialist." Something along the lines of that.

A cracked boulder isn't an egg so you can't say each symbol is a literal representation. So what could that icon represent if it isn't a literal jetpack?

My 6 year old (i think she never saw a jet pack, but with cartoons one can't be sure) thought when i showed her the mural was:

UFO;

Dino egg; and

ET man (it looks like an ET man she said)...

Why? Regardless of whether the customer support is outsourced, the responses from them are official. The advisors will have been given a stockpile of information to take answers from and an escalation process for queries they are unable to answer. This escalation process would go to someone involved with the company directly and, most likely, to someone involved in the aspect of the game/production that the query relates to.

 

In the past I've worked in different roles in customer services in both retail and government and it's been the same wherever I've gone.

Not necessarily. You rely on people with expertise within that field to respond accordingly so if you get an advisor who has worked on a particular area, eg repairs and faults with a specific product your company manufactures, you can be happy to let them answer accordingly.

 

If you are an advisor and can't answer a question directly, you pass it up the chain and then feed back the answer from that person, so someone who works for a highways agency who can't answer a question about the design of a specific bridge would pass it to the bridge engineer for that agency but still feed it back themselves so that the bridge engineer doesn't need to speak to the complainant.

 

Of course, the model that you describe exists but it is getting increasingly rare,

Customer support would surely have stock answers for 90% of enquiries - as we've seen posted on here dozens of times - "Rockstar does not comment on in-game missions" etc. Most responses point to FAQs and technical support.

 

If this latest comment was one of the official stock responses we'd have seen a variation of it on here plenty of times before. In my opinion, the customer response guy has checked the complaint - glitched jetpack when saving - not found a listing of jetpack as an official vehicle (list of cars/bikes/helicopters/planes/tanks/subs etc) and simply stated this as fact.

 

A jetpack, like a UFO, or a Bigfoot, I think would be classed as a discoverable easter egg and so wouldn't be on any of their customer support lists or FAQs.

Quick question. Has anyone had it autosave after taking the lift to the top of Mt. Chiliad? It did it once but havent been able to get it to do it again.

 

One of the 100% requirements is to ride the lift.

Was it your first time riding it?

i am just gonna say one more thing, cause its bugging me. this isnt directed at anybody, its just an interesting thought...

 

if i did in fact get the jetpack, and it glitched, how the hell would i get my issue addressed? if they refuse to comment how can i get support. the space docker is an unlockable vehicle, does that mean they dont offer support for that either?
