Now I understand why so often I see people speaking about killing s.o. at the altruist camp!

 

For those who didn't complete the altruist mission, I can confirm that after the shoot-out there the camp is deserted.

So, because of its remote location, I guess if you want to perform a "sacrifice" there it has to be done with a character you can socialize with, id est s.o. who has the meeting option on your in-game mobile phone's contacts list.

 

(BTW, I'm still not at 100%, and I won't be for a long time because I go on with the main story only when I meet with the co-owner of my copy of GTA V... but I can do side missions, hence the altruist camp!)

I have been working on this theory for some time now. I believe there is a way to get undetected into the fort.

 

What I have noticed is no matter how long you kill off soldiers if the alarm is going, they will keep coming. If you do not set off the alarm some of them do not seem to repopulate. I have narrowed it down to 2 different types of soldiers in the base. (3 if you count tankguys)

 

I wonder if total control is possible. Maybe something different happens (like the red alarm light stops spinning outside UFO bunker) if you trigger no alarms going in. Who knows but it is def fun "thining the heard"

Too many good ideas come through here.

I have to find time to try to work on this one in between the grid...

 

So cameras. lookouts are confirmed

are there sirens?

 

 

When you are actually in the base the sirens will only trigger if you are on the main ground like where the titan is. I think sirens mean a confirmed sighting by someone.

 

you can actually use franklyn's special ability to jump around a good chunk of the base. If you go in using his special ability and run over a guard you will only get a 2 star wanted level. No sirens there, then you can jump into the ditch around the base "undetected". What is weird is its police response when sirens do not trigger. When sirens go off its military.

 

From there you might be able to go to the first(? might be second) opening and get over to the UFO/elevator bunker. Its a pretty straight shot from one of the openings.

 

I actually was able to get the guys in the control tower to cower in fear. I tried holding them up like a store. They just sat there begging for their life. Really makes me wonder...

 

 

 

You and MrEZ have both found this now, the cowering thing, there must be something to it, why make them not react in the usual way, there must be a reason.

 

The work you have done plotting the guards etc is really awesome dude. :) Is there anyone with binos etc near the bunker? Because I have parachuted onto it a good few times with no stars, but the as soon as you step out of the door, even if you stay still there seems to be a set amount of seconds before the siren goes off.

ZancudoTakeover, what you are doing is friggin awesome... not sure how many people ever even noticed the soldiers not respawning or even bothered to try. I hope this leads to something what with the 'take control' on the UV map because again.... friggin awesome.

You can see the troops arent respawning. Fewest red blips ive seen in awhile. Close to having everyone dead. Tanks arent even coming anymore. I think theres one more on the oppisite side tower I gotta get.

 

You should've at least, for the sake of being thorough with your research, played as Trevor doing this... I mean, the blueprint map clearly states, "Property of TP Industries", so... it's pretty certain it's been in Trevor's plans to take control of Zancudo's Control Tower, with it's hidden minigun, and possibly requisition those three aircraft for his own personal business venture. Because I'm pretty sure the map reflects both Ron and Trevor's notes on what to do to further the influence of TP Industries, while pointing out various goodies along the way.

 

EDIT: Yes, I know, I sound a bit like a dick here. Actually half-hoping doing all this crap as Trevor would do something, but also feel the cynic in me calling it a dead end. I just feel burnt out, like we're throwing things at a wall without much solid evidence beyond a possibly dummied-out entrance to an interior, and a potentially-overlooked AI script, while recycling some older theories to support the findings. Nothing wrong with that, just... again, burnt out after like 5 consecutive days of flying around every location you can think of, jumping off cliffs, going into caves, fighting altruists, and cargobobbing tractors across the desert to do a downhill speed run off of a mountain, etc...

 

In either case, keep us posted if something worthwhile turns up.

Possibly that picture where the soldier is in the chair, otherwise they would shoot. I just hate how everything seems inaccessible in that base, yet clearly it shouldn't be.

 

Well I was working on a theory to open the bunker door . My guess is that it can only be opened by a soldier or through the control room .

Based on the end choices some people end up with only 2 charachters . This is the first time R* have used multiple charachters into a GTA game .

It is very reasonable to assume you will need to use multiple charachters to solve this .

 

We cant just open the bunker door .

We cant have a charachter activate the door from the control room and be at the door at the same time .

We know you can parachute into the bunker unnoticed with zero stars .

We know people have lost their stars while in the Fort .

I dont know if anyone lost their stars and made it to the control room ....

 

Put these 2 together and we might have something .

 

I have no evidence to provide . This is just one of my many random theories .

I have attempted it a couple times and failed .

At the moment I have become obsessed with getting a true 100% as I do in all my GTA games .

I have a save with franklyn in there around midnight on his bike.

For anyone wondering about wanted levels and UFOs, I held a 5 star wanted level for 16 minutes in the lazer in Blaine county. I flew up to the Hippie Ufo, circled it while blowing up police choppers in its sights. Did not do anything. I did not fly to the Zancudo Ufo and try anything.

I think characters react depending on if they carry a weapon or not... dont think there is any difference apart from clothes and what they say... if you meet someone with a weapon they get hostile and shoot if they are unarmed they run or cry and be fearful... apart from if you are unarmed like when u steal a car unarmed they attack if you pull a gun they run.

Not entirely true.

 

Rob a store the guy will cower / cooperate. Turn your back and there is a chance he will pull a gun on you.

HI, i'am new here and it has probably already been tried. Have anybody tried dressing michael in a military outfit (believe he has one, but not sure) , buy one of the military vehicles on the website and head to fort Z to see if they grant you access??

Don't think they have military uniforms, there is the Highway Patrol ones he and Trevor get though. Not heard of anyone trying to enter the base in disguise, but in my experience, unless its part of a mission clothing seems to make very little difference to anything.

i went into FZ as trevor in a cop car in his highway patrol uniform and they killed me pretty fast

Don't forget aswell in one of the earlier missions were F and L go to repossess the bike F eventually ends up with ,you had to press right on the d-pad to crack the lock ups open ,this should be tried at FZ and multiple places ,,,just in case its lurking behind a shutter ???

I've tried calling Lt Kyle from inside the bunker a lot. During the light being on, before the light came on, after the light came on, at 12 midnight, at 12 noon and at a load of other random times and places. Never got anything other than the answer machine. I did want to try when the guard who allegedly walks into the bunker was there, but I could never get it to happen.

 

EZ has explored the tower a lot, maybe he has tried calling him in there, but I am starting to think he is a dropped character or storyline, could be wrong though, imagine if we found a clue that said 'call Kyle wednesday 3am' or something, we would be made up because we would know who Kyle was and how to call him. At the moment though its just another frustrating strand ....

I have no qualms withe the calling someone stuff but i do gott say when you call at diffrent times they wont answer. Case in point call dr f at night he wont answer, but call on a weekday(dont remember about weekends) and he answers. Just my 2cents on the topic Edited by IM_A_AFOL

I have made it in there once with no stars, but not made it into the control room tho. That 1 time is when i saw the 3 kids sitting on the chairs. I have no reason to lie about it, if that were the case wouldnt i have said something more exciting than just 3 kids? like i saw them carrying a jetpack down the elevator or such? dont care if others dont believe me, probably because they have never entered the tower with no stars before. so that scenario was never shown to them.

 

It took a good 3-4 seconds before these kids yelled, the alarm sounded & they ran. Weird considering the front entrance has a camera looking at the front door? That was what i was concentrating on (trying to takeout camera before it saw me & raised the alarm) was only then i noticed these people next to me.

 

Ive been scratching my head & trying for ages, how would you get in there without stars? but if you parachute & sail low over the fence (i was wearing stealth clothes/black parachute using franklin at the time) have a silenced gun at the ready, shoot the gaurd that stands by the gas tank next to the front of the tower door quickly before he sees you, land right outside the door (i always use the soft landing approach as it seems to make a big difference) i was able to enter it no stars. This works the same way entering the bunker, except there is no gaurd out front & easier to do.

 

Ive also been through the tower (alarm sounding tho) destroyed the 10 cameras, all the soldiers in there. Made it out & lead the soldiers outside on a wild goose chase around the base in a jeep, lost them for abit (so the viewing beam is coming up from them not a flashing minimap) ditched the jeep close to the bunker, made it there without being seen, & waited in the corner til i lost my wanted level. The siren however was still sounding after this? that is why i think nothing happened regarding the bunker elevator doors for me, if they were to do something?

 

Great work by the way ZancudoTakeover. I wondered if taking out soldiers before entering would help? i often shoot the gas tank by tower entry from the mountain with my sniper rifle so it is destroyed before trying (this tank exploding has killed me more times than the soldiers) ive destroyed about 6-8 of them around the base before & there is never a alarm or wanted stars from it?

 

Note: i will be going hard today trying to enter no stars, hopefully get a pic of these kids to shove down the doubters throats!

Quick question. Has anyone had it autosave after taking the lift to the top of Mt. Chiliad? It did it once but havent been able to get it to do it again.

I am almost out of ideas, so I will post a few things that "may" warrant further investigation.

 

The Zancudo Ufo looks like it has a cockpit you could enter by pressing the enter vehicle button, but it has a force field.

Anyone tried hovering near it during a lightning storm to see if it ever gets struck? Maybe it could disable the field long enough to get in.

 

The house in Camp Dignity actually has an interior, look in the windows. Do many random houses actually have an interior? If not, why does this one? This place is tied to the Infinite 8 killer too, letting us know he lived/stayed here.

 

Anyone tried my earlier post about chuting to the bottom cable car building after spawning the ufo? Srry for not trying myself, away on 2 day business trip.

 

Brainstorm why the sand glyph is missing the 6. I feel this is odd. Is there some signifigance to the 6, or signifigance to what remains?

 

Missing letter collaboration? For those that do not know, all churches have an oddball letter. Taking the oddball letters from them spells FALSE.

Obvious egg to the bologna some churches/cults try to spread, and proof eggs/clues are in fact hidden in this manner. Using the wax museum as another example of a missing letter, I dont believe its for realism, I believe its more info for an egg, or a clue.

 

I think this game has instructions on where to go, or what to do next, but we cant get our focus off the one, in your face clue to put it together. The mural on Chiliad.

 

I apologize in advance for not being able to work on them myself, as I am away from home until tomorrow. I thought this post may be useful for people at a dead end and may find something here they may want to look into further.

i feel like guessing the boot is a easter egg for the boot portkey from harry potter and the goblet of fire... but why the hell do i remember that..... read that like.... 9 yrs or so ago?

You have to find them without the meter . Note their locations and just go to them without the meter to 100% the mission .

I keep hearing people mentioning a missing '6', and usually in relation to the Wow! signal or sand glyph by the Hippie Camp. Did I miss something when reading up on the Wow! signal? Is that extra separate 6 from the print-out of the Wow! signal actually really important, more important than the 7 further off to the right in the same print sheet? Is this a different 6 we're referring to?

 

Could someone please enlighten me, because I feel like either I'm missing something, or the original mention of the Wow! signal somehow made it seem like a separate frequency burst was just as important as the signal itself when it was linked to the Hippie Camp.

 

(for the sake of linking it, a scan of the Wow! signal print-out. Note that as far as I've gathered from the couple of hours I've spent reading up on it, the only thing that's been given significance is the one long circled string of characters. yes, it took me some time to find on this forum.

 

click the triangle next to your username at the top right of the site. select 'manage ignore prefs' then enter the username of those you want to block & check ignore posts etc boxes.

No worries, just trying to be brief and not get too muddled in the details, is all. There's a lot of stuff that's been either figured out, thrown out, or still in the process of being ripped in half in this thread.

 

So if you didn't have time to read through it all (can't blame you, honestly), it's probably better to ask than to jump straight to a theory... unless you come up with something -really- good, possibly get people to search the city instead of the countryside for a change (beginning to get motion sickness from all these aircraft fly-overs and vertigo from the mountain treks... need a change of scenery...)

Not sure what you are asking but the Hippie camp shows the WOW signal in its entirety. 6EQUJ5. So why is the 6 missing from the sand glyph?, it only reads EQUJ5.
