Decoding the Mount Chiliad Mural

You guys are complicating this wayyyyyyyy tooo much. Forget about alltitudes just focus on the glyphs.

The one on WTF building or the one under the floating suitcase? Because to me they kind of don't count, nor would the one on the top of the car at the hippy camp. They are not 'real' as it were, they may be hints, but I think there will be five actual full sized UFOs, be they made by the FIB or 'real' like the FZ one.

WHERE can i find this? always meant to check it out but, i always get distracted by other things.

Hi guys I've been following this topic since start, not had anything to contribute yet but Im at work the now so can't play but the eye on top of chilliad what way is it facing? There is a horizontal line thru it to show what way it's facing so if the mural matched up with chilliad it can only be 1 of 2 ways, you get me?

 

I said something about this a few posts back. The glyph under the observation deck suggests an alignment which has not yet been tried, to my knowledge.

 

Ok my turn to say it. This has all been said in this very thread. All overlays have also been tried. The overlay on page 1 of this thread is the only overlay that means anything, and it isnt even an "overlay," just showing where it would be.

 

Here is an example of an overlay that direction

 

Everyone who has paid any attention should know that if it overlays, it overlays this direction. This is also how the glyphs on the mountain were found (or a few). This overlay would be correct if you were on the actual map looking at the mountain on a horizontal plane instead of from a vertical like the map and pic above.

Sorry to be a downer, but It's not a floating briefcase, nor does it have a picture of a UFO. It's a light fitting attached to the wall somewhat too low. The underside is just the part intended to light up.

 

There are multiple of these same particular fittings, just that one specifically is slightly too low. Either via an oversight or some form of intentional implied under-lighting.

 

That aside, even if it was a briefcase, thinking logically, it makes little to no sense as an easter egg or a clue.

 

Feel free to go and check it out for yourself though! Don't let me stop you, heh.

Please stop trying to overlay the map, talking about altitudes, greek myths, glitching under anything, or anything else apart from the glyphs. It is so obvious but you guys are complicating the sh*t out of it.

 

5 glyphs on chiliad correspond to the boxes on the mural + the red one on top (which also corresponds to the mural, what a surprise!!!)

 

The glyphs look like UFOs right? Yes. We have found 4 UFOs (nope the one on top of the restaurant doesnt count). We need to find the last f*cking one which corresponds to one of the glyphs!!!

 

Which glyphs correspond to which UFOs is the question that needs to be answered!!!!!

 

Half disappeared glyph: underwater ufo

Raining glyph: top of chiliad

Plain glyph: Hippy camp or military base

Night glyph: ???

Beam up glyph: ???

I seriously doubt that the last 3 boxes with the UFO are under chiliad. The mural is much more likely a process which you need to follow to unlock the 3 easter eggs e.g. finding a 5th ufo.

But that second overlay, is not the way the glyph is facing, i dont think. If anything, i think it should slant slightly SW not NW, or as MrSelf says, the main straight line down could align with the cable car lines.

Rockstar sent me here to sort this sh*t out. Please stop trying to overlay the map...

 

I haven't visited all the UFOs so I don't know all the conditions that have to be met. Rockstar plasters chiliad with these gylphs that look like UFO's that are also closely aligned to the mural. This can be the only explanation.

So your saying that if you played the game without coming online and followed the chilad mural to each glyph then each one would tell you where to look for a UFO?

 

So you would come across the plain glyph and think oh i surely have to check above the hippy camp/military base? Or a half dissapeared glyph obviously that means i need to go check underwater?

 

And the rain means Chiliad??? Why not the mountain/beam mean top of chiliad?

 

Your reading everything backwards using the information we have and making it fit the mural, you need to go the other way and follow the logical steps. Each glyph points towards a requirement to see the Chiliad UFO (Rain, 3am, top of mountain)but at present we don't know what the other two incomplete ones are. My long held belief is that these 2 incomplete glyphs would have pointed to 2 more requirements that would then open up the next part of the puzzle but i have been unable to work out what the 2 requirements would have been.

 

I'm sorry but i think your going about it all the wrong way, Rockstar sent you to sort this sh*t out? Then sort it out, work out what the 2 incomplete glyphs would have been before they got worn away and we might start to get somewhere.

You can go have a look in your game but Im pretty sure its pretty straight north to south, which would mean it would overlay pretty much east or west. If anything it points a little NW, and that is the best perspective to match the mural with the mountain, glyphs included

Yeah but it would be faster to get the thread back on track by one detailed post explaining that it has already been tried, and nothing came of it.

 

It doesnt discourage people from adding little twists and trying it their own way, which could be helpful.

 

It also doesnt make you look like a troll, and get a response from 15 people calling you out, and subsequently cluttering the thread.

Using that strategy, I'd say the Zancudo UFO would be the "Beam up glyph" because it's the one with the beam that shines down and lights up the bunker in Zancudo.

 

I'm not buying into this theory though... Just saying.

Slightly off-topic; Apart from the trolls themselves, I wouldn't worry too much about this thread getting slightly off topic on occaison. Very little progress has been made in the last several hundred pages (if at all), but it has nothing to do with the thread itself.

 

People derailing this thread does not stop someone searching the game on their console. If something interesting is found and posted, we'll notice it very quickly. As will the rest of the internet.

Even if there is no explanation, yours isn't making enough sense. What glyph would you use to find the Chiliad UFO if you never searched the internet for help?

 

Edit: I took maybe a week off from this thread and it seems like others have done the same. I will stop cluttering this thread up by trying to tell others that their idea has been tried. I am starting to think there is nothing left.

In the first big thread here someone posted a picture of a rockface that said it was interesting.

 

Not much was said about it at the time but i remember there was a phone like number hidden in the decal that was hard to make out.. But i will put my neck out and say they were definately there..... I'll try and find the post if i can remember the name of the thread.
