Decoding the Mount Chiliad Mural

yea dude yesterday when i was playing i went to trevors house and ron was acting very weird and scared he was on the side of trevors house by trevors fourwheeler holding a pistol loocking at the mountain behind trevors house and said "I think someone messed with the site!" Idk ijustthought it was weird

 

Ron is standing on the side shooting at Barrels. He is always scared when Trevor is around.

 

Stand next to him next time and shoot the bottles sitting on the box in front of Ron, he will comment on how you are better than him at everything.

T02 isn't giving off sparks if hitted with the baseball bat.

T01 is clearly giving off sparks.

Also Every time you hit it it's like ur char is targetting it he doesn't do that at the T02 door.

Try it.

Did anyone glitched through the T01 or T02 doors like the one glitched through the door on mount chilliad?

Hello guys,as usual I'm going to post something stupid with minimal research behind it because I get very excited when I discover some crap.

 

Anyway.

 

I saw evil vet's post about the butterflies at the altruist camp.I saw them myself and I thought they were suspicious.But then i forgot about them.

 

So now I did this:googled jetpack,got this from wiki to find what chemical is used for fuel,this was the first I checked

 

 

then I googled "Hydrogen peroxide butterflies" and i got this

 

 

don't know if it means anything.Sorry if old.

Hmm, interesting...Very. That implies that there is some difference between natural and cheat spawned.

 

Would be good to know if the shadow pics were taken by someone who spawned it naturally.

 

I DID NOT spawn it naturally from what i remember, was a month ago though.

 

The UFO doesn't move itself, just the shadow of the UFO from the sun, it starts to move around 13-15:00 and ends up to your left on the mountain where the pictures show it.

 

NOTE: Those pics were taken from the viewing platform, so make sure the UFO is actually "Spawned" and you havn't wandered too far away. Whe it disappears so does it's shadow.

oH ok i got it . I wonder why if you stay close to there it never leaves no matter the weather but if you leave you have to respawn it again

 

Also wanted to mention I got no notice of 100% completion . And the auto save prompt did not pop up when i first saw the UFO (i did cheat though ).

 

Has anyone completed the game with zero deaths ?

That's interesting. If and only big IF R* would go that far in realism, then the butterflies might be a clue.

Just a wee couple of observations made at the Altruist camp (that I haven't seen mentioned before) :

 

1. Pretty butterflies spawning at one particular porch (with the shiney metal box marked 'plastic explosive')

 

2. Carved rock showing a zig-zag and tower (either the egg or path to mast...or both!) definately not a texture thing. Also has the three lines and something else I can't quite make out.

 

Nothing groundbreaking I'm sure, just wanted to share

Yes. I've seen some on those islands up the top of the map, some other lone islands, and remember some around the mountain range near the lighthouse.

Hmm but the altruist camp butterflies are always there.Not random.Anyway I'll investigate this as I needed something to do in the game,haven't played in days.

I can't shake this feeling that we are not standing in the right spots to see the Sandy Shores and Fort Z UFO's.

 

On chiliad we have to stand on the Eye to see the UFO appear.

 

nothing tells us to stand on the Eye, we just do it because we know to do it.

 

the "Come back when..." message is the closest thing to telling us to stand on the eye BUT, that doesn't say to stand on the eye, it just implies to come back to the top of the mountain.

 

I'm guessing R* figured that when someone saw the "Come back when..." they would also see the Red Eye and figure to stand there?

 

 

I went to the PENRIS building and stood in the eye at 3:00 but, nothing so far.(sadface) going to stand on top of the PENRIS building and look at the Pyramid topped building across the street when i get on again later.(unless someone wants to save me the trouble, hehe)

 

Trying to think of other places to stand, any ideas?

Did anyone ever get an exact location for the Chiliad UFO ?

I saw a vid on cvg they got pretty far down the mountain with it still in view but it got cut off . I heard something about a detailed shadow ??

Anyone have any info about this?

 

 

The shadow rotates But, so does the UFO. gets to this part at about 17:00 and goes up over the ridge in the upper middle of the pictures.

 

You can see where it starts under the UFO here @ 13-15:00, some time around there and then moves to the east.

EDIT: Just in case anything comes of this i would also like to note that i have witnessed a Fort Z shadow as well, just more information for you.

 

I cant seem to find this shadow . I spawned the ufo at 3 am with the weather cheat . waited over 24 hours and the ufo hasnt moved yet

 

 

This proves it's not a damn hologram as I have been saying all along.

Ive seen butterflies all over. Off the top of my head they seem to often be on the small islands north of the map and around vinewood but really seen everywhere.

 

Ive noticed fireflies recently though, in and around various tunnels at night for example. Just little white lights floating everywhere.

 

I think its just the game engine reproducing nature and we are noticing such things because were to the point of looking properly.

 

Maybe we need to catch a butterfly and put it in the spiders web lol.

 

 

As far as i know my game has no deaths, no arrests (busted) and no visits to the hospital.

Whenever i died or got busted i reloaded. I will check later what my stats actually are.

I was thinking that the path on the mural is the path to take in a heli on the platform to reach the UFO, i've tried but it disappears anyway.

Is the the "right" order how it was planned by R* how to find the UFOs?

 

1. you see the Mural randomly while playing through the game

2. you see the "come back when ur story is complete" writing cause it's near the mural

3. you play to 100%.

4. you go back to the "come back" writing and nothing happens so...

5. you go and lay the Mural X's on Mount Chilliad - because of the eye and the platform

6. you find the 5 glyphes

7. you see Thunder on the Mural, Rain on the Glyphe, 3AM @ night on a glyphe and

8. you decide to go to the "come back" writing with these conditions

9. you see the 1st. UFO.

 

Im not sure about the next ones

10. you find red arrows and decide to follow them

11. the last red arrow is the YouTool Sign pointing to the Sky.

12. You fly upwards over the YouTool store and ur right in front of SandyShore UFO.

 

10. you find a "Beam/glowing/cirlce" @ night over Fort Zancudo Bunker

11. You decide to fly up and see the 3rd Fort Zancudo UFO.

 

We got so many possible clues and hints but not a "golden thread" (is this the correct english term??)

Im doing this to try to find out how R* thinks what is the process on discovering all this.

Maybe we get some insights when thinking about how we are supposed to discover all this

 

btw I don't think the 1-12 1-11 steps are perfectly correct.

Maybe u guys have some ideas on that.

I have definitely come across them in both Palomino highlands (back when I was looking for that odd shape only seen in the satellite map in the digital manual) and in Tongva Valley when my car fell apart... you have to be on foot... driving or riding a bike won't spawn them. They usually seem to show up in the same place... I went back and showed them to my daughters who love butterflies.

Personally i saw the painting of the eye, 3 dashes and moon at the hippy camp and assumed that one painting meant stand on there 3 times at night while its raining. I didnt get any joy so wondered if it meant 3 pm but no joy i then thought 3 am but no joy.

I remembered seeing the eye on the viewing platform and by then convinced myself the 3 dashes meant 3 am or pm.

I then found the chiliad UFO.

 

I then spent a long time looking for other eyes to stand on before joining here.

 

The only UFO i havent seen is the fort one, i am looking at them as i would find them instead of reading a forum and going straight there.

I havent worked out how to find the fort one by myself yet.

Another thing I noticed when I was at the summit of Chiliad and decided to zoom in on the starry sky with the heavy sniper rifle . The stars are all different colours. It was very pretty.

update:It appears that there is a grass patch under the wooden structure at altruist camp,spawning butterflies.So they just look like they're floating around the boxes,nothing special.

Being pedantic about it, you don't actually have to be standing on the eye for the UFO to spawn. It will spawn if you are in quite a wide area on the top of the mountain under the right conditions. Of course, the viewing platform gives the most stable place to see it.
