Just like to say some great theory's for the mural guys.

But no one has yet to my knowledge come up with a good enough one to explain the lines.

Also I thought the lighthouse was fixed but if you stand directly under it you can still control the light.

Although I didn't try it before the patch sorry.

Figured id throw it out there. If its been said then sue me for nor reading all 700 pages of 15 different mystery threads.

The altruist camp says see the eye. Its painted on watertower but I dont think its the actual eye just showing us reference and importance.

What if its indicating another water tower? Or the lighthouse since you can move it buy shooting it.

Also the observatory which sees all like an eye..when you hover over the main circle it has different shadings of circles to almost mimic retina,iris,pupil.. Just a thought tho.

This is what I am thinking. All the models be it gas cylinders or water towers adorned with glyphs are merely props to show us where to look elsewhere. No way are all the eggs in one basket, ie, north of the map. The lighthouse thing has been fixed though. Edited by Wanderer800

Yeah I forgot that point sorry.

A3dstIT.jpg Look at the line at the right of the stickman and now watch the line on the left of the mountain, they are the only entrances for the easter egg.You can choose to start the mystery with the way that you want.Starting by mount chiliad easter egg,or starting by the dock and go to the sunken ufo easter egg.But all the lines bring to just one result. The top of mount chiliad

So maybe I'm crazy. No, I'm definitely crazy, the sheer volume of different colored stains on my underpants will attest to that. Seriously, it's like a Baskin Robbins down there.

Anyway, I've been thinking about what we know, what we've tried, and what doesn't lead to anything (which, coincidentally, is next to nothing). There aren't a whole lot of options to us at the moment, and lots of smart people have tried a ton of different things to move this mystery forward. The biggest part of the mystery, so far, is the Jetpack Man symbol on the Big Mystery Mural. Why is there an image of a jetpack if there seems to be no jetpack in the game? Who would have a jetpack? Where would a jetpack be found in sunny California?

So we went knocking on Ft. Zancudo's door and all we found was a lousy UFO.

Merryweather only appears to have a rusty ol' U-Boat.

It doesn't seem like Humane Labs builds those types of things, plus it's not possible to re-enter.

So...where would a jetpack be? Where was the jetpack last seen in the GTA multiverse? What if the Jetpack Man symbol represents CJ.

Hear me out.

Most of you may know that CJ actually has a brief cameo in GTA V if you go off mission. Proof:

In this clip we see CJ riding with what appear to be his dead friends from GTA: SA. Now, this may be a silly little easter egg...But it's clearly Young Maylay doing the voice of CJ for those few lines that he has...and those don't appear to be recycled from SA. So why bring the guy in just for a few short lines?

Here's what I propose: CJ can be found in different missions, and perhaps finding all of his appearences will either show CJ with his jetpack (probably crashing and destroying it in the process), giving you the jetpack somehow, or otherwise just showing it somehow. I assume there may be 3 different missions he can potentially appear in, because there are three marks on the jetpack side of the Mural. CJ does exist in GTA V, and since he did own a jetpack at one time, I'll say it again: The Symbol may represent him.

Three big easter eggs, two are connected: The UFO and the Jetpack Man

The UFOs are visible after 100% completion. So obviously doing missions is a requirement. Now, go back and do them again looking for signs of CJ to complete the Jetpack Man portion. Finally, the egg can potentially be unlocked under the mountain and all will be known? That's the theory.

Since playing the game is the first step of the puzzle, and it doesn't seem Platinum Trophy/All Achievements/True 100% Social Club Website Completion advance the egg further...and honking at sh*t definitely doesn't seem to work (neither does the myriad other ingenious plots devised by the multitude of sleuths wracking their brains mucking about in free roam trying to figure it all out), maybe the key is in the missions. Just my thoughts on the whole thing.

The X Boxes on the UFO side could simply mean 100% completion (1 Box), Discover correct conditions to spawn UFOs (1 Box), the three on the jetpack man side could mean 1 for each CJ cameo (maybe not just CJ, maybe just hidden easter eggs in missions), once you do the UFO and Jetpack Man conditions the final piece of the puzzle will be revealed or something.

TL;DR: Jetpack Man symbol is CJ. CJ's in the game in at least one instance (see youtube link in post), perhaps CJ still has his jetpack and we just have to hunt him down in missions to get it, see it, or otherwise interact with it. I'm going to start working on this theory tomorrow, starting with the mission in the youtube video, just to follow him around as long as I can. I'll report back whenever I damn well feel like it. Good luck guys, I hope thinking in new directions will help solve this thing!

I tried to see this circle in game, couldn't find it, even from a top view, so..

has been covered allready in this thread but just as a little sidenote again. the satelite map doesnt match the actuall game map if you check the area in game and compare it with the satelite map you will notice that the beach and the mountain in that area is differently placed in both maps. and the circle you see there is propably just some trees.

This is quite a different direction of theories that have been submitted, It seems plausible.

OKAY. So, I am new here. But, I joined to add what could be either valuable information- or absolutely useless information.
Okay, so, you know how there is a special edition gta 5 that comes with a map encoded with writing that can only be revealed by a uv light? Well.
I went on a journey trying to see what is so special about those specific locations and well, on multiplayer- theres nothing special.
On single player- perhaps theres a lot of special to it.
Firstly, I went to the clue that reads, "open grave" I found a gun in there.
Secondly, I hit up the clue that reads, "under the rock face" I found a rocky mountain that has a part that sticks out forming a face looking thing. It looks like it has a chin. Underneath the chin there is body armor.........
Thirdly I hit up the s/w roof clue. I found an rpg........
Fourthly, I went to some under water place and found body armor...........UNDERWATER How useful is that underwater? Pretty useful, huh.
Fifthly, I went to the rail cabin clue. I saw nothing. But. I found a military vehicle. At a rail cabin. Why? Pretty different categories. Very random. It's parked in a way that makes you wonder.
Now, I thought about my journey and at first, felt like I had accomplished nothing. Though, then I started thinking. What if they're keys? What if you collect them all and go to a specific place, like the military base-bunker- and a door opens? IDK. Maybe someone can try it out or something.

It could well be to do with San Andreas. The only thing is who would know who C.J was who is playing gta v? I certainly do, I still posess every release of gta and every platform to play them on. Remarkably apart from ps2, still in working order.

Gta San Andreas was released in 2004. Nearly 10 years ago. Seems like yesterday to me but could 18 to 20 year old gamers not be alienated? I agree with your post in principal, just looking from a developers point of view.

Not only that but:

A) They're not CJ, Ryder and Big Smoke. They only wear their clothes. Apart from that they're just normal pedestrians. They're just an easter egg.

B) They only go around the block on a loop from what I've seen.

C) Rockstar has stated multiple times that they wish to keep the PS2/Xbox era games separate from the PS3/Xbox 360 era games canon-wise.

It allows them to do cameos and jokes references past content but means they don't have to worry about continuity or having the spotlight shifted from new and unique GTA main characters.

Don't expect to see CJ return any time soon, if at all.

This time, watch the video. CJ is in fact in GTA V. Just because some article says so, doesn't mean the actual game is lying.

The things are different when is rockstar that CONFIRM there's no old gen characters in gta v,what you saw in grove street it was just an easter egg for the fans nothing more : /

Just for clarity's sake.

It wasn't CJ and crew....

Just an easter egg... meaning... what, these guys are just a inter-dimensional place holders of people who echo from the past?

So, is there a TARDIS in there somewhere?

srry, just having a bit of fun.

What do you all think of this idea? I have a feeling that after all the criteria has been met then something is going to happen to the mountain itself which will grant us access inside and possibly and straight hole up to get out. Which may be where the red eye is found at the top of the mountain? An escape route for either he UFO or JP under our feet the whole time?

Well guys, i give up, i'll play the game in a normal way and don't search things anymore. 4 weeks, more than 8 threads with at least 150+ pages (Plus the subreddit), and nothing..

I'll stay here, watching you discuss about this mystery, so... Good luck people, i hope you'll find something.

I think it's more likely that if anything was going to be accessed, it'd be Fort Zancudo via the elevators.

If not that then I doubt anything else. As others have said, the "door" at the top of the cable car is likely just where the machinery for the cable pulley system is.

i think fort z is unlikely. jp in sa was stored in the equal of fort z. chiliad is an option but unlikely too. if and that is a big if, there is a jp in the game it will be somewhere were we wouldnt suspect it...

Fort Zancudo is the only place thus far with an actual functional entrance.

It's also the closest parody to where the jetpack was originally found.

I don't think the location is going to be cryptic, I think the lead up to finding it is. They have no reason to hide the location, just the method or existence in general.

The path to finding one if there to be found would be logical/sensical. The location doesn't have to be obscure or unexpected if the method to get there is obscure or complex.

IF there was going to be any secret interior, it'll likely be Zancudo. I highly doubt the mountain holds anything interior-wise.

Just for the record, I've been trying all kinds of crazy combinations with a lot of theories and still nothing. Just wondering... has anybody tried bringing all three characters to the Altruist camp and then used Michael to kill the other two by having them walk over the fire? Was going to try that next, but won't be on X-Box for another hour or so.

Anyone know of a ps3 100% save file with all the epsilon tracts done too?

the tracts are really easy if you use the IGN map.

Only 10 of them.

I know there is a save on Reddit, but the tracts aren't done

http://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/comments/1pd608/ps3_100_game_save/

BUT they are really easy

Make sure to have Aldo's Brute Force Save editor.

without it the save is useless

Couple of things. First, the drawing in the sand does seem to represent the Hippie Camp but why is that glyph not at the camp itself? Instead we have the rain and the moon. Second, I think some of the unique items laying around that are completely indestructible are important, the ufo car, the ram skull, the alter at the lighthouse, the UFO's. The snow man isn't destructible and it's an easter egg.

Sorry if this seems a bit off topic, but I won't rule anything out...

I've been searching for the plane that trevor crashed into the alamo sea.after the military shot it down. Ron said we could search for it later with a sub and collect the "weapons" it was transporting.

I haven't found it yet. Has anyone found it? What was in it?

Breifcase with a few thousand and random weapons. Like everything else underwater - nothing remotely exciting.

R* really exaggerated the whole diving for "treasure" and having to beat other divers to it lol
