Decoding the Mount Chiliad Mural

I know I said I would stay away, but I did some picture snapping and came across some stuff:

 

Three stickmen on a spot, snapped at Hippy's camp. Bring all three PCs to the same spot?

 

 

 

And there's a curious thing I noticed at the Hen's House Bar; the picture to it's left, the house has yellow lines unde it. Perhaps nothing, but if we go by datsuperlemonhaze's theory, maybe it refers to sunset? Chickens, eggs, sunset - kinda a theme.

 

Those are stars.... But that spot has always interested me. It's "in front of US" like that writing on hobo camp says. And it doesn't really look like anything other than a ring. I tried rolling the nearby orange ball all the way there to put it in there but the ball disappeared on the way.

 

 

I tried bring a fire engine to the cave at Altruist camp to put he fire out. It won't go out.

 

 

 

 

I'm starting to think the clues to easter eggs are simpler than we are making them out to be:

 

1. The CHiliad glyph - shows the locations of the other mountain glyphs which act as instructions on how to see the first easter egg - the UFO over the mountain. The bottom of the glyph shows the other two eggs... the hatch from lost - hatching egg. And the sunken UFO. The third box MAY very well be a scuba gear representation instructing you on how to see them. Then the giant arrow at hippie camp points to the UFO on the station wagon - showing you there is a UFO above. The light at Zancudo on the bunker shows you there is a UFO above there. The box on the mural bottom right MIGHT be a jetpack - it also might just be a scuba guy. There might be other eggs to discover - something to do with the altruist water tank and the elevator at zancudo - but I'm just not sure the cable car mural is showing you more than we already know.

If You follow the red arrow from the hippy camp it will lead you to a circle of stones which is in the lake right at the top of the small harbor. Perhaps you should go there with all three characters at a special time when they where there special cloth?

To answer the question of how far the petrol can be laid, im supprised someone playing the game doesn't know but not very far.

 

The mission where you have to pour it around and set fire to the building is far longer than you can do it in free mode (non mission).

 

If you pour it around a car for example then a short trail to light it, the start of the pour will already have disappeared or become useless.

If you douse an object in it the blaze wont last too long either.

 

Ive set fire to all the bushes, buildings, crates, masts and anything else simular at the alorists camp, hippie camp and homeless camp and not found anything.

 

Non of my above comments should stop anyone else trying however. I might have missed somthing or i might have done somthing wrong. I'm just posting what ive done and what I'm going to do so its on record of another avenue thats been tried.

 

 

I read mention of a snowman (evilvet or blobby?) i would like to find that and try burning that to see if it melts if it hasn't been tried already.

 

 

One of the only places ive found so far that the diagram could literally be laid over on the map is the container compound at the docks SE of the map. As some containers can be opened with a sticky i plan on going trying every box over there.

Incidentally, is the rusty tractor your all talking about the one at the lighthouse? If so i dont remember ever not having it. The tractor was there the first time i visited the lighthouse (long before i met Ursula) but after playing on it decided it was far too slow for any further messing about lol.

I don't know why your surprised dude.

 

There's tons of stuff I hardly use in this game, I've only been in a tank once. Hardly ever used the cargobob. Never used the knife.

 

Also I got pretty far with it.

Using 50% of the 'ammo' got me near the Alturist gate before I stopped. And I started from the fire so it didn't 'dry out'

the mural tells u more than the places of the glyphes

i think the lines between the X's say something also the mountain "entrences"

also multiple overlays are possible

one overlay (mt chilliad overlay) we got right and got all the glypes

also I think the every glyphes will tell us more

at first i read everywhere the moon glyphe says at night a week later people saw that the three lines mean 3am @ night > now we think it means 3am at night decreasing moon phase...

maybe theres more to the other glyphes too

also after you do the kiflom mission u get the same tractor with a kifflom license plate on it.

I think it is part of the puzzle.

If you decided against the kifflom tractor you got none thats why they put one @ the lighthouse that is always there.

I don't think R* leaving out people that played "wrong"

thats why everyones alive after 100% even if u killed someone

U can't mod it.

It'sthat slow it's almost impossible to drive it up a mountain.

Based on the fact most people think the glyphs lead to the chiliad UFO, Dont you guys thing COME BACK WHEN YOUR STORY IS COMPLETE totally cancels out the mural ???

Did R* just put that there for people who couldnt figure out the glyphs .. I dont think so . (im not sayin we figured out the glyphs , kind of ..noon-night .. 3 lines 3 am ... cloud -rain UFO appears )

You come back when your story is complete eventually the UFO appears .

As far as people who think the jetpack looks like scuba gear , you dont need scuba gear to view the underwater UFO and you dont need it to collect the UFO parts . Unless there is a secret cave underwater were missing its not scuba gear .

Yea that was me I'd like to point out what I said though as it seems some mistook what I meant sorry.

 

Micheal not dying and being playable was only when I tried replaying the mission about a week after completing and getting 100%.

 

I'm not sure if they stay dead or not when you first play the mission and continue sorry.

 

In fact has anyone here chosen to kill off one of the characters? If so what if anything is different in your game?

BINGO! finally someone sees sense! The easter eggs are found! There is no jet pack! There will be in DLC but not in the game right now! We solved this mural over a week ago! Your hunting for things that do not exist lol

That look extremely promising... "Doors may open suddenly." Aka, some guy may suddenly fly out in a jetpack.

 

These are basement access points for older buildings.

Mostly businesses hold their stock in the basement and use an elevator like this to take their cargo down from delivery.

^The above. I live downtown in the city of Chicago and many businesses in the loop have one of these and you'll see them up sometimes around Midnight-2AM and it is creepy-cool how they just pop out of the sidewalk from nowhere.

I think we are sooo focused on the murals and mt. chiliad that we aren't spending time on other things like the observatory and the space docker. You know stuff like that. Something off topic..i found a road sign of a person on a horse but there aren't any horses in the game? Also i never saw anyone mentioning that if you fly above the observatory it looks like the space docker. I think once we do figure out the mystery many of us will be slapping our foreheads. Honestly why are we looking so hard? Is the jet pack worth all of this? So many people arguing and after reading all the threads it seems we are stuck. Ill keep trying new things in the game but i honestly don't think its worth the trouble. The only reason i think people do it is because there is nothing else in the single player to do. Well other than spending all your money customizing cars. Keep up the good work if you're actually helping.
