PS.: I know we're derailing the thread, but take a moment to think about it all - that's exactly what we've been seeing to this point: a bunch of non-sense, stupid theories and no results. People must really consider the mural, if it means something, and try to find a rational answer instead of things like the ones we're joking about. Not everything in the game is related to this, get over it... Some of you are seeing "clues" everywhere!

I don't think it's closed air, I was getting two stars put on me only when i was seen driving on the fairways. Must have been someone flying too low when they got hit with stars for flying over. It is against any golf clubs rules to drive on the green in rl so i guess i can see if that's what r* was doing with that.

If you all worked together and designated each individual to explore each unique lead, then you would find it very quickly.

So much unstructured conversation going on here. Did anything ever come of the crate in the Altruist camp? Anyone try picking it up with the Cargobob? I guess I lost my chance to complete the Altruist side mission since I already completed the hitchhikers which sucks cause that place seems a very likely place to hide something and I never see that crate there myself. Also, I've gotten the restricted air space warning a couple times at the golf course but now that I'm actually trying to cause it, it doesn't happen.

The crate only appears when you are abducted by the Altruists. It's likely only there to act as cover when shooting your way out.

The lighthouse may have more to it. I found a gold plague at the school (ULSA) that has some latin phrases surrounding a lighthouse with a bird flying in front of where the spotlight is. I tried translating the latin "quisque comoedus est" Each one is a comedy. "resumo ad nauseum" Resume to nausea (or seasickness) and then "galea" which means helmet or protective tissue around brain. Can anyone make any sense of this? Maybe the nausea refers to thunder storms when the waves get bigger. I also recall someone mentioning that when you aim a gun at the spotlight it stops spinning so far no luck.

That's good advice. It's strange how there are so many people right here ready and willing to search for stuff, but the effort is still totally uncoordinated. Fun? Sure! Helpful? Not at all.

 

For that to work though, everyone would have to post verifiable documentation of all of their trials and errors (and discoveries, if any) right here so that everybody else could confirm it. Almost nobody is doing that.

 

Maybe the moral of the story is that the hunt itself is more interesting than the reward. And yeah, it is kind of fun. Gotta hand it to Rockstar, they really planned this well.

 

So why do we think there’s a jetpack in the game in the first place? Yes there’s a cryptic mural, but are there any solid theories to support the idea that there’s a jetpack in the game at all? I mean beyond speculation and circumstantial evidence. Anything?

 

If the mural is the key to all of this, well, the mural has two drawings of things that look like UFOs, and people easily found multiple UFOs. There’s a drawing of something that looks like an egg, and there are images of eggs all over the place. If that third drawing really is a jetpack, why is it so unlike the other images? Why hasn’t anyone found it yet? Shouldn’t it be right out in the open too?

 

Or does it maybe mean something else, something that we have already found?

there is a cracked egg drawing... we found a lot of cracked eggs even fake ones

there is a jetpack stickfigure drawing... no i dont want or will argue if or if not it is a jetpack. look at it yourself the thruster shaped thing on the back. heck a freaking caveman would draw it the same way.

you should rather ask if the jetpack is available right now. that is a question no one can answer. maybe a time based trigger to make it sovelable after a certain time of played hours. maybe a dlc. who knows

Alright, just had something very weird happen. As Trevor, I flew to the golf course to try and get the warning again and I figured out that it happens if you fly low over the pond at Hole 2. Tried it twice and it only happens right there for some reason. Might just be a glitch.

 

Anyway, the weird part, before I tried that I noticed the police chopper flying around so I decided to follow it. Thought it might go somewhere. Turns out if you start following it, it goes out over the ocean for miles, way beyond the limit of where you normally crash. I followed it for a very long time. I looked at the map and it wouldn't even show my location. I stayed right on it's tail but as soon as I slipped up and got below it just a little, my engine cut out. I tried to hold out but he eventually disappeared into the horizon. Then when I finally hit the water I dove down for a extremely long time, my air was dropping so slow. I only have one bar in lung capacity and can barely even dive with Trevor. I went on forever until it eventually ran out and I died.

 

I saved the game just as I started tailing the chopper so I could try again if something happened but it was gone when I loaded it At one point I thought he was leading me to a secret island lol I'm going to try again and see if I can keep going without getting off his trail too much.

Well, i'm sticking to my theory about a possible jetpack definitely being behind the wall/door at mt Chiliad.

 

The UFO however, what if it's related to the course, maybe underneath it.

I mean c'mon, who seals off a golf course with a big ass fence and barbed wire?

Is there really no entrance? Pretty sure Ive driven in the entrance, where you have to pass the country club or whatever you would call it. Also there is an entrance/exit the size of the golf cart too.

And I was right, it's obscenely expensive, suggesting a heck of a reward.

Hell, might even have a relation to that "hold your credit card to the sky" thingy, which to me represents giving up your wealth.

And i'm not sure that many people have alot over $500, 000, 000 (or whatever the price was.)

@jarriix That happens when you follow the helicopter that circles the Vinewood sign. It loops around that and the Vinewood bowl. It headed way of the map when I've tailed it as Michael and as Franklin but stays around when you play as Trevor.

The only thing I found interesting in the golf course is the umbrellas look like UFOs, and I also got a golf club to use as a weapon.

The tall bushes can't be climbed and I've walked on the small bushes by the stairs, nothing happened.

There's nothing in the ponds, no caves or anything else.

If a caveman drew that picture, we should be looking for animals, not a jetpack.

I think the most common reason people say the mural drawing looks like a jetpack is because there was a jetpack in a previous game in the GTA franchise.

 

But do we have any real reason--from _this_ game, not from a different game--to interpret that image as a jetpack and then believe there is a usable jetpack hiding somewhere? If so, I haven’t seen it yet.

There will be no sh’tstorm for Rockstar. They already made US $1 billion (and counting) on this game. Every time somebody new buys it because they heard there’s a really fun community hunt for hidden treasures going on, they make even more money. Jetpack or no jetpack, Rockstar wins. (I’m not complaining. Even without some kind of secret treasure, it is an incredible game.)

Yeah, that’s a good point too. But still, it would be very strange if two of the images on the bottom of the mural were easy to find and already visible in the game, and the third required some kind of extra download.

 

If somebody finds this thing I’ll be as happy and excited as the next person!

But I'm still waiting for one solid reason to believe there’s a hidden jetpack in the game. I’m not saying there’s no good explanation for its existence, I’m just saying that nobody here has given a convincing reason to look for one yet.

Ok guys. this was weird. I've never huffed paint before in the game. I went to Trevor's house and right outside the door there is a table with a sock rolled up. I huffed it and passed out and when I came to I was at the Hippie camp. Might just be nothing, but I thought I should share just in case.
