I'll just say this: some insist on a "light" version of brian.'s insane theory (I think you're missing his entire "point" and the crazy talk about Rockstar trying to cause a real-life revolution and whatever he says, not just an 'oh, maybe if you do this and that you'll get it'), but you talk and talk and talk and didn't try it for yourselves?

Just do it. Play it from start to end and try another option at the ending. Surprise: nothing's different - you're welcome!

This theory goes down the drain when you take into consideration that you can try different options and ending and still don't get nothing. So what? I have to finish the game 7832593256891351541250 times in order to find the right combination? C'mon. Please come back to real life.

This.^

This is what has happened to Brian and his theory: http://epsilonism.blogspot.com/

If anyone can decipher enough of that to actually figure out what it is that "Rockstar" supposedly wants us to do, that person will be the first. Good luck with that.

Interestingly, I also found this when searching my browser history for the first link: http://sheepsilonism.blogspot.com/

From the looks of it, someone trolling him hard, and him responding. Does not exactly help my faith in any portion of his idea.

Either way, if people want to pursue this further, they better come up with something in the way of hard evidence BEFORE trying to get others here to follow. Otherwise it's a mess better avoided here.

Standby for no actual video and a ton more bragging.

So no one even asked when the person a few pages back posted this...http://chiliadmystery.com

Has anyone done a whois lookup for this site? I tried earlier but it said too many people had requested the info or something.

Was that site online before the game released?

Yes, someone did.

I said that it's not owned by Rockstar. I checked myself when it was posted. When companies make hidden pages for games they don't hide their whois information.

That and the fact that the image on that site is too low resolution to be Rockstar's own work.

Finally, why would they call it "Chiliad Mystery".

That's a term created the players.

I'm not sure how Canada makes it any more relevant either. Rockstar has numerous divisions, and the Grand Theft Auto series is made by Rockstar North in the UK, they always have been.

I also doubt that they'd make a ton of in-game clues and secrets only to go "OH LOOK IT'S IN THIS DOOR" on a website outside of the game.

I disagree.

1) There is a R* Toronto, seems too coincidental the registrar would be a Toronto company. Could be coincidental, but I don't think so.

2) The registrar is private and you're saying game companies don't do this. You're making up facts to suit your argument. You have no proof of this and I can't remember a time anything like this mystery has been done before in a video game.

3) To perpetuate the mystery, R* IS NOT going to underestimate their nerdy customers enough to think we wouldn't do a Whois lookup.

4) The T01 door is likely a red herring. It's quite possible that R* is behind it either way to muddle the mystery.

5) The term Chiliad Mystery could have easily been coined my R*, C'mon.

So... There you have it.

To weigh image quality into this doesn't make a compelling argument. This a mystery, thus R* wants it kept that way. They are selling more copies this way.

I am more skeptical the record went live after the game was released, albeit in September. If anything, this makes me think it's NOT R*.

@Finally I have delt with trolls like you on other forums. The user was going to put a video up and a week later they came back online. Guess what I have caused 8 trolls to get banned.

I really don't want to go that far on here. I even had an infracture (Warning) I went far to almost get banned myself. I had almost 600 post.

Then Hackers and Spammers ruined the website the Admins had to take the Easter Egg part of the forums down.

I'm not against anyone but that was a sad day.

The forum site was for Batman Arkham City. Known as Official Arkham City Forums.

I miss those days of Easter Egg hunting.

I want to help you all. Not here to cause a stir, or get people going. So if you want some helpful advice, Ill make it concise.

1. No tunnels in chilliad.

2. 150 million is absurd for a place that returns barely anything...unless it happens also to house the most valued object in the game.

3. Those that inquired about a wanted level when flying above the golf course...its not the golf course, but whats underneath it.

4. Its a lot more than a jetpack, and even I am bamboozled by the concept of hiding it in a spot that seems irrelevant.

5. The UFO and jetpack have no real connection

No, you said standby for video!

If youve got somthing then please do tell us. If your worried some might not want it spoilt you can use the spoiler tags to hide it.

I think this has got to the point now where you need to show the exact method and result of what you have done or be quiet and let the grown ups talk.

There IS a Rockstar Toronto, but they're all individual branches.

They treat one another as individual mini-companies

Rockstar Toronto is not involved with the production of the Grand Theft Auto series, Rockstar North is.

I know it's supposed to be a mystery, but I'm talking mainly of the shoddiness of the image.

It's not that it intentionally looks bad, it's just a poor image. There's no anti-aliasing on the edges and overall it just looks stretched.

An ARG HAS indeed been done on this scale, numerous times. A much bigger one than this was done for Portal 2's release. That one got so complex and in-depth that involved the use of outdated computer hardware, phone numbers, and actually visiting a physical location based on a clue where a hidden object was left. An ARG I was a part of.

They made numerous sites. Another ARG was done on a large scale many-many years ago that I remember, but it was before the internet, so I can't cite the use of whois there.

I'm not saying any of what I'm saying as a fact though. Your guess is as good as mine at the end of the day.

But just as some of you provide reasons and opinions as to why you think it IS owned by Rockstar, I'm providing reasons and opinions as to why I disagree.

It doesn't make your opinion any less valid of course. It could indeed be owned by Rockstar bud. But I'm not basing what I say on thin air. No hard feelings of course.

@Finally I'll take a chance to debunk your fake theory. If your right I'll let everyone know if your right or not.

I'll glitch to get there. :D

If your wrong you should leave. If your right you have discovered the Jetpack and you'll rise to fame and everyone should apologise.

I'll be back in a few.

The picture on that website looks like its got a bullet hole on the top edge of the box mid picture.

I'm not sure what i think eitherway. Blobby has good points i believe and agree with but im suprised someone went to the trouble of buying a .com instead of using a free or cheaper option. Unless of course web domains are very cheap in Toronto.

What is an ARG?

ARG is Alternate Reality Game.

It's not limited to video games, but quite prevalent within them.

It's whereby the developers create an intricate puzzle that must be solved using whatever means they hint you towards.

The one in GTA is a fairly small (though frustrating I'll admit!) ARG, but it's really interesting!

How do i get spoiler tags. Im finding it hard to believe I am the only one who has found it.

You have to buy the military base, then spoiler tag rights unlock in the forum.

I think to get spoiler tags you got to special tags or somthing.

To be honest it sounds like your going to be proved right or wrong within a few minutes. Get your method out now and get your name on it or else it will go to someone else for glitching to it.

"Standby for ______" usually implies something is imminent.

I see nothing.

Hey it's fine, heh! As long as we all know who you mean I don't mind.

I have witnesses to confirm it here that I discovered it.

I have witnesses to confirm I'm the King of Mars too.

Perhaps we should make some sort of "secrets club", where we meet up once a year to get drunk, smash the place up then not speak to one another for 6 months.

If your next post does not give the method we will agree that you are talking rubbish.
