"Slidey" cars needs to be an option for GTA Online.

Did anyone else enjoy this code as much as I did? I was about to shut my console off and probably ended spending another hour & a half checking out how different the cars handle. I loved it. Felt like the cars had their "training wheels" removed.

Yes I agree with you! I want to be able to use a customized Futo online with the Slidey Cheat. Hopefully there will be some kind of settings next to weather, etc.

I was extremely impressed by this. I have only played around with it a bit - but I instantly had the exact same thought.

Me too, but if we gonna use it online, i think the cheat needs to be turned down a little. It feels too slidey but if they were to reduce it a bit then it would be perfect. That plus making low tier cars feel and handle like low tiers would be great, and make braking take longer.

That would make the driving truly beautiful, but at least they don't flip so easy like in iv and high tier cars are fun to drive.

Unfortunately the code seems to become disabled after a lot of certain actions. Switching characters, purchasing items or services, even when my car skidded off the docks and into the water near the industrial area. Sometimes the prompt comes up to notify you that the code has been disabled, then once you use it again it has no effect. Dafuq?! :whuh:

That happens to me too. I just do a mission or switch characters and it'll start working again.

Not gonna sit here and bash IV's driving. I didn't like it, that's besides the point.

I popped this code in the other day to give it a try, see if it truly made cars feel like IV's. It didn't, all my cars did was slide like they were on ice. That's just me, I was not even a bad driver in IV.

Hell, if they give people an option for it online, alright. I just hope it's not a server option cause if it is I want a way for myself to turn it off, because I can't drive with it on.

I find the code doesn't make cars behave like they are on ice at all. It gives us control over the accelerator without a ridiculous traction control system. Going from 100+ mph and braking in 15ft no longer exists. Since it feels like there is no super glue TCS we get wheel spin back. If you're mashing the accelerator the car will skid but if you feather the gas pedal like a real car the cars can leave from a stand still normally. Same thing with the brakes if you feather the brakes they don't lock up. I think this code is amazing.

It doesn't fix motorcycles but it definitely gives each individual car more personality. The Elegy feels f*cking awesome. Muscle cars behave like muscle cars and not like front wheel drive mini-vans.

So my analysis of this thread suggests that slidey cars is a cheat actually worth trying, correct?

It's a cheat that I think is worth being a gameplay option of it's own. It could be right next to auto aim on/off.

Driving assists on/off.

Absolutely love it, now they just have to make it a menu option instead of cheat.

Since the code already exists within the software all they have to do is change the way it activates to a menu option instead of a cheat code, this should have been done already because R* is aware of how people are enjoying it and how many fans hate the default MCLA arcade mechanics.

If they are going to be constantly listening to feedback and tweaking GTA Online accordingly like they said they would, this should not be too far down the list. There have been plenty of topics here and in other comments sections around the web with an overwhelming number of people voicing their displeasure.

When leaked game footage was released many people noticed something was off. I didn't want to judge so harshly before playing myself, but after spending a few weeks playing now I can't help but feel that the driving leaves plenty to be desired. If car handling won't be addressed the least they could do is give us this code as a game mode.
