progdog
...regarding engine physics. 1. Indestructible / stop you dead in your tracks road signs. 2. Indestructible / stop you dead in your tracks Tents / homeless shelters (really?!) 3. indestructible Trains. (I tried setting up a sticky bomb trap...nothing) 4. Indestructible / stop you dead in your tracks Fences, small stone walls, hedges etc. when I saw that scene (we all know the one) where the armoured truck smashes through the wall, I was excited at the prospect of destructible environments. Low and behold, it was only a scripted event. This, and all the things I mentioned above are a huge disappointment that ruins a piece of the immersion I was hoping for, or led to believe what we were actually getting. Spitfirex007
I don't understand why they added trains. You can't steal them, you can't blow them up and unlike RDR, you can't tie people up and stick them on the tracks. Trains are completely worthless in this game Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/601637-4-disappointing-things/#findComment-1063442502 Share on other sites

Trains are completely worthless in this game There IS a random event where you get kidnapped by someone and wake up on the train tracks naked. progdog
I wonder if they get enough negative feedback about trains, will they work on a patch to make them drive able and destructible. GTA:SA had it, why not this? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/601637-4-disappointing-things/#findComment-1063442551 Share on other sites
TheSoup
But who wants to drive a train? Serious, it was boring in San Andreas. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/601637-4-disappointing-things/#findComment-1063442799 Share on other sites
Kampioen
Worst of all: volleyball net on the beach. Ah well, we're just not in the age of perfect realism in games yet. Kampioen
But who wants to drive a train? Serious, it was boring in San Andreas. I just want to derail them. I guess that level of destruction is a little too much for the engine to handle. progdog
I don't think it's too much at all for the engine. Think about it. 1 train = approximately 10 cars and a petrol tanker, which the engine can handle perfectly fine when detonating them all in one go. MisterT_T
No basketball! But Yoga is fun right?!?!No but seriously here is some facts why GTA V has failed hard.Police AI - Same as in IV, you hide, they know exactly were to look for you.You hide in bushes, they can see you even though your mark on the map goes grey. You stand infront of a cop for 10 secs just looking at him/her, you will get 1 wanted level, after 30 sec you will have 2 and they will kill you.Using the horn when in a car at a cop 3 times and you will get 1 wanted level and then 30 sec after you will have 2.Police Wanted system and stealth - You kill someone out in the desert, on top of a mountain, out in the sea, no witnesses, still get 1 wanted level. You enter the airport or army base, no witnesses, you'll get 3 and 4 wanted levels instantly. You can't drive trains, you can't walk around in subway train or lifts when it's moving, only when it's still and then it switches to the camera outside. You still can't drift even though that was the only issue with GTA IV's driving, even with a fully tuned car you still can't use the gas button while drifting as it will just continue to slow down until it stops or you stop drift.Several modders especially 1 guy made a perfect mod for GTA IV while using the same driving mechanics etc but just adding so you can accelerate and continue to gas while drifting (which you can do in real life), still a multibiljon dollar company with educated developers can't even fix it 5 years later. Then we have the awfull bike, dirtbike, atv and offroad cars physics with instant turns and the most weirdest landings ever as even if you don't land straight, the veichles will land perfectly by themselves and act like they are glued to the ground.
