Making Money after you finish GTA 5?

Hey im on the last heist and I know after that it is going to be hard to make money. I've already done all Lesters missions and I dont plan on robbing Securicars or Liquor stores the rest of my GTA 5 singleplayer life. Is there any possible way to make a lot of money after I beat GTA 5 like playing the stock market. I think i've come to the conclusion though that the Stock market is useless except for Lester missions. Anyone know how to make Good money after the end game?

property income. other than that, none that i know of. Keep in mind with this game, unlike previous titles, once you finish story/one time side missions/collectibles, you apparently aren't supposed to play single player ever again, ever.

property income is insignificant, they really arent worth buying if your intention is to make a profit. 250000 gets you 900 a week and it costs 100000 to fully mod a car? good luck getting that to work out. it pretty much is gonna suck until the multiplayer starts unless you start over and do the stock thing right and make a killing. or you could spend hours robbing armoured trucks and liquor stores, but they dont yeild much either. there is a weed farm you can raid out in the sticks once a week, i got like 24000 but some people say they got 60000. not sure if there are any more properties like that, its the only one i found so far.

Armored Truck Random Events continue to happen once a week at Paleto and numerous locations in Los Santos...Theyll get you some change.

Weed Farms..I hit one today and got almost 10k from it..Theres quite a few around that I know of. Theyre also weekly events.

If you get at least three properties that pay out for each character youll be looking at 15-27k per character per week.

Some side missions that you didnt complete will pay out pretty good lump sums like the bounty hunting missions. 10k plus.

I cant confirm this but from my understanding of the stock market the liberty city one is tied to in game and you can track the times best to sell and buy stocks.

The Car crushing place pays out 150 per vehicle destroyed in Los Santos every week..Take a bus down to a two lane highway....park it blocking traffic and let it build up...place a few charges every dozen or so feet and when theres a big enough blockage of traffic..do your worst. Expect the cops to respond quickly so have a get away car..do this two or three times a week and youll be looking at a hefty amount coming out of there.

Rockstar didn't think that far ahead because they were too busy thinking about how to make the most money from GTA online.

Shows how much they care about their players.

I don't get this mentality at all. It's been more than 4 months since Online released, and we have yet to see any microtransactions or DLC.

OT: I invest in the stock market and hope for the best.

4 months is nothing in game development time. Rockstar STILL has a bug affecting each and every player preventing them from replaying missions without crashing at the splash screen when returning unless they disconnect their console from the network, which prevents other major feature of the game from functioning.

They definitely made sure to fix all of GTA Online's problems.

Also, DLC and microtransactions are not the only way GTA makes more money from GTA Online than GTA V SP. Regardless, looking at the game files shows that they already planned having microtransactions, so you'll see them soon enough probably.

I really don't think the stock market will make money after all the missions are done! Having Property's will generate money but not as much! After the last mission all three characters had 30 million since I didn't know I could do the assination missions after the big heist!

While Lester's missions are the only way to make HUGE gains on the stock market, as you can actively affect the markets, it is possible to make reasonable returns from the stock market.

BUT in my experience only on BAWSAQ.

I had my doubts at first, I've tried LCN and it seems random, made some cash, but purely by chance, and then only tiny increases of 0.1% on my total capital. Goes up and down faster than a Vinewood Starlet's skimpy undergarments.

After playing with my BAWSAQ (so to speak ;)) the return is much better, but it takes longer. I'm talking days/weeks in RL.

I invested in a certain stock a week ago, and it just keeps rising, so far I'm up 26% (beware tho, BAWSAQ rises and falls in RL, saved games will not re-set it)

I haven't completed the game yet, or received the final heist payment, so my original investment was only around 10 million for each character. If I'd had 40 million + to invest, I'd have made another 10 million for each by now.

Axmann8; absolute bs. If someone is capable of playing through this game and end up without money they need to get their brain checked. Or mybe read through the walk-through and replay

Even when I first rushed through the game without checking up anything it gave some 400 mills to each character, and after reading Crokeys guide here on the forum I went for a more relaxed "replay", carefully following the stock-marked instructions wich gave Michael 7 billions, the other two about 4. Easy to double this on the stock-marked, moore of a problem to stop and say it is enough  (for now)

I got around 13-14 mil per character by the end of the story. Assassination missions were useless for me because I don't have XboxLIVE thus no bawsaq.

At this point I'm down to about 9 mil per character and continuing to drop. I rarely even spend anymore hoping to start gaining, but every death puts me further back.

You need a strategy if you want to gain money. Notice how low and how high some stocks can go, do one gamesave before and another save after buying stocks and wait. Sometimes you win big, other times not so big. Look for stocks that are cheap, then you can buy a lot of them and gain alot when they move up

It would be awesome if you could always get money for the heist replay missions but sadly every aspect of the game revolves around repeating the same thing again and again but the true feeling of accomplishment comes from how much more money you could get each time you complete the same missions. And frankly they made it so it's a end period for the characters heist and robbery crime careers and to go on with normal jobs and tend to friends and loved ones. And pretty much at the end rockstar games is pretty much telling us to move on to other games or experience their multiplayer option or just find small various activities to do around Los santos.

Deaths add up quickly. The best way to prevent cost to you is to own the business properties with the largest weekly payout. This will sustain you in terms of death and ammo expenses. Saving by sleeping advances time so multiple saves get you weekly income faster.

Armored trucks drop something like $10,000 but the Weed Farm has given me $50,000 every time. Robbing convenience stores always results in chump change so it's not really worth the hassle. There's always taxi submissions, taxi requests, and towing to make smaller amounts of money.

Without manipulating the stock market via Lester missions, I ended up with less than $20 million per character. (XBOX wasn't online) I haven't messed with either of the stock exchanges but I heard you can manipulate stocks by causing damage to a company that is competing with another. It would be nice if someone could confirm this or share a comprehensive guide on it.

You're correct. Let's say you want to invest in FlyUS, all you need to do is start destroying AirEMU airplanes in order to increase stock value of FlyUS. Or what you could do is destroy FlyUS airplanes so their stock goes down and AirEMU goes way up. As soon as you notice this, buy heavily in FlyUS after you bring their stock values down, and turn around and start destroying AirEMU so that FlyUS goes up even further.

Really? I've had one miserly $5,000 pick up from that farm....since then nothing. :(

But then I do have over $30,000,000 per character so maybe the game is teaching me not to be greedy.

There is a glitch where there's hidden money on a submarine sunken under in the reef off the coast of Vespucci beach where it's on top left next to the opening hatch door on top of it. The glitch happens when you dive underwater where the submarine is but FYI your lung capacity regenerates when underwater, switching between the characters you'll still be in the spot where left off, the briefcase of 25000 will regenerate while switching the characters every time so each time you switch back to the character underwater the 25000 will always appear, just remember to not touch it again unless you start switching characters between grabbing it again if you want to stop to insure it doesn't stay gone forever.

But be careful that the game doesn't freeze from switching back in forth through the characters to much. And make sure you don't have a million save slots and quick save after you have met your quota sum amount of wealth! I've made 244 million at the almost beginning of the game after Michael meets franklin of course so I could have two characters to switch to.

Also guys there is another way to make money fast except for if you play online because you have to go to a abandoned ship wreak off the west coast beach near the carnival but its under water and you need good lung capacity to do it and the other part is its patched before online so they update has to be deleted or the package is not there it gives around $25,000 per use and all you have to do is switch back and forth with 2 characters to get it too reset. The way to find out how is not hard just look it up online.

Whenever Im reminded of the amount of things that were gutted from SP to make Online more enticing it makes me wish Online was a horrible failure for Rockstar. I really hope the future DLCs add in more to the SP. I really miss Vice Citys method of buying property and then it returning that investment vs V's invest and never see a return.

Well this isn't really an in-game strategy at all, but I just use XB36Hazard's save editor to give max cash to all characters. It's user-friendly, incredibly detailed, and (to be honest) adds a new level of fun to the game since it gives you customization options that the game doesn't officially support.

To be quite honest, there aren't a whole lot of ways to make money after the story is finished. You can do cab fares with Franklin, drug/arms running with Trevor, and....something...with Michael. That's if you can afford the properties etc. Until we get Casino DLC though, your options in terms of keeping it legit are pretty limited.

Compared to other games, you don't get that money in single player missions. It's usually missions with no rewards, and a heist, which rewards money. And Rockstar wants you to play Online, so there isn't much ways to make money. You could try doing taxi fares, buying properties and doing side missions, like the towing and collectibles. Or you could use some of the stock market exploits to make money. Peds don't drop much money in this game, mainly due to credit/debit cards. Otherwise, you could use a trainer to make 'fake' money. The game becomes more fun with more money.

I can't believe you had to make a new account just to bump this.

Answer: no you can't make serious money after "finishing" GTA V. Any amount you get from daily income or grinding business missions is peanuts compared to starting a new game and doing it right.

Save Lester's assassination missions for after the story. Even before you do the first one, Lester will tell you about investing your money in the stock market, and investing more is better.

You only have to do the first one (Hotel) to advance the story (and you can even make some money of that, by doing all the side quests first)

If you do it right, you'll have at least half a billion credits on all 3 characters, and you can easily buy everything in the game.

Here's a comprehensive guide on how to do it right:

https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Lester's_Assassinations

And these are useful for getting the most out of the heists:

This one shows you the best crew choice for the best paying approach with no casualties: https://www.gamepur.com/guides/gta-v-guide-how-get-maximum-possible-share-each-heist

This one shows which crew makes you the most money for both approaches (scroll about half way down): https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Heist_Crew_Members_in_GTA_V

I prefer the approaches with no casualties, as I have forgotten to pick up Norm's bag a few times, and had a lower take. I recommend avoiding Norm for Vangelico and Paleto and using McReary instead.
