Best way to have/survive long cop chase

I have been tying my best to try and do a long cop chase, but these cops in this game are way too aggressive when they are chasing you, they get in front of you and try to slow you down. When your out they have rediculously good accuracy. So one day i stole a Securicar (Armored Truck) right after i robbed it and killed the guards. I went through a chase up and down the free way in Los Santos for about 15 min, helicopters shooting at me FIB shooting at me from the SUV's. I kept dropping sticky bombs and gredandes. That was the longest i lasted. I finally got killed when i got trapped between a sheriff cruiser and the Sheriff SUV....amazing how a lil police car can stop a huge truck....But anyway thought i would share that. Armored Truck with grenades and sticky bombs.

try getting on top of the non-stop moving train. I lasted almost an hour with 5 stars

love the idea thanks!

have your bullet proof vest and parachute in on the train. easiest way to get on it

Was playing Trevor and just tooling around Sandy Shores in my ATV. Was by the side of the road when I hear police sirens and shouting. A beat up old car flies by with a cop car chasing it.

So I decided to see what was up and followed them. They quickly stopped up the road at an intersection and got into a shootout. I decided to 'help' the cops by taking a couple shots at the perps. I killed them, may have missed and hit the side of the police cruiser....anyway the cops quickly turned on me. I grabbed the $60 or so that the criminal had dropped, hopped back onto my ATV and took off. Had 1 star at that point.

After some hi-jinks around the dunes I saw a 24/7 store and decided to run inside to try and lose them. The shop owner/clerk starts freaking out. I run into the back room out of sight. 2 stars by this point. Unfortunately for the shopkeeper he ran into the back room with me and was cowering by the door facing away from me.

I shrugged and put a bullet into the back of his head. I hear shouts from cops outside (maybe there was a customer in the store that alerted them). By now I realize this is going to get ugly. I pull out my Carbine and take cover by the door of the little supply-room I found myself in.

I see cops starting to sniff around by the front of the store, I take a deep breath, committing myself, and peek out from cover to blaze away at the first two. They go down, more cops quickly appear and the siege of the 24/7 is now on. I take down a few more at the entrance and start to hear helicopters. Things will get pretty ugly if I stay here...so I made for the front of the store.

I see a cruiser and two cops not far away. I take them both out and run for the open door of their cruiser. 4 stars by now. I hear shooting, more sirens and helicopters inbound. I jump in and take off, but not before they shoot the left front tire, it's quickly grinding metal. I burn around the wasteland for a bit, all pretty open country as sirens wail, bullets fly and airborne snipers take out another tire.

Suddenly I see a tunnel ahead and point the very beat up cruiser for it. It's not a long tunnel, but enough to hide from the helicopters. I stop the car halfway down and wait for the cops to appear. Sure enough a few cruisers stop at the entrance to the tunnel, cops pour out and start toward me. I crouch behind my battered ride and take them down. Hear shouting behind me. More cops at the other end of the tunnel. 5 stars now. I turn and take out a couple more. I'm trapped and feeling a bit desperate now...not sure how I'll get out of this jam.

That's when the first train appeared. Almost ran me over...I got too close and was knocked to the ground and slightly injured but ok. As I watched it disappear down the tracks I wondered if it was possible to jump onto one...probably not, moving too fast.

So I fight off a few more waves of cops, try heading out of the tunnel, but it's two dangerous. 2 or 3 helicopters buzzing outside. Another train comes...I figure this might be my only way out. I pick out a couple of the flat-bed cars, holster my weapon for maximum run speed and start sprinting in the direction the train is headed. I wait till a flat-bed appears beside and JUMP toward the train....I got in!! I couldn't believe it.

Now I'm zooming out of the tunnel, the cops are driving their cars into the side of the train and being blown away heavily damaged or destroyed. I crouch next to the side of the car I'm in (there's a nice convenient lip to these flat-bed cars). I'm pretty pumped now as I see a swarm of cops hovering outside the tunnel entrance, receding into the distance.

I turn my attention to the helicopters. I don't have any high-explosive weapons so I try sniping the gunners and pilots. Sure enough bodies fall, and 2 helicopters soon wobble and weave for a bit before plummeting to the ground. I still had to fight off some police in cruisers and heavy duty SUV's that were following alongside the train tracks. I took out the driver of one SUV and it was nice enough to plow into a cruiser beside it, causing it to hit a tree...2 birds with one stone!

A 3rd helicopter I fired at ended up plunging *beneath* the train as it passed over a bridge and blew up right beneath us. Pretty spectacular stuff.

Finally we passed over another bridge and I saw a tunnel ahead. All the cops were left behind, although I heard more helicopters in the distance. It was a longer tunnel in a remote area. Great to hole up in. So I took another chance and jumped off the train car, thankfully landing on my feet without much trouble.

Waited anxiously for a few minutes, hearing those helicopters searching futilely outside...and finally my 5 stars disappeared! I clambered out of the tunnel and down a cliff-face toward a dirt road I saw across the river. Surely a helpful passerby would provide me a lift back to town...

The entire sequence must have lasted about 20-25 minutes or so. I was left shaking my head in amazement. Totally unscripted action movie awesomeness.

And not a bad way to earn $60. :)

Easy. It's called keep driving, learn to dodge other vehicles, doge tree's etc. Easy.

You cant just keep driving. The cop cars have amazing top speed and hit you in the rear to make you pit. Then the Heli shooting at you, Sheriff Suv/Fib with FIB hanging on the side shooting at you....shooting tires out. You cant do that, you wont last long. Im sure your going to say "Drive a faster car" No i dont want to lose them. I want carnage. Answer for me so far: Armoured Truck.....and avoid the spike strips.
