Would you rather GTA 5 have no explorable ocean and more interiors?

I pointed this out a long while before release, about how I had this funny feeling about the under water exploration and how it just didn't fit with GTA. I felt like it was wasted resources. The underwater portion of the map is VAST and I felt it was wasted energy as that could have been used for more interiors or even San Fierro/Las Venturas. Of course I was flamed by the Rockstar Games defense force for complaining about something that I haven't played yet.

Well, I beat the game and my opinion stands, outside of the missions, I just do not have the desire or urge to go into the ocean. Explore? Maybe, but I don't play GTA to be a National Geographic explorer, I play to be a virtual criminal and immerse myself into the given city. I felt like GTA 5 was lacking in interiors because Rockstar used that space/memory for the ocean.

Now that many of you have played GTA 5 and beaten it, do you still think that the ocean was a better choice than having more interiors or even San Fierro/Las Venturas?

I honestly don't understand why the interiors are even closed. I could be wrong, but I feel like the interiors are already pre-loaded, but the only thing blocking entrance is the programming of the doors. The same thing happened in GTA4, where until the release of BOGT you had to glitch through the front doors of the bank to enter (online free roam), but the bank was all there once you did. If it's the same case in this game, then there really is no reason for the closed interiors. Especially buildings like Tequila-la that you can buy, but only enter once in the game. I imagine a few more buildings will open once online comes out for the purpose of doing heists, but I doubt we'll see many open until DLC comes out. That is the only real gripe I personally have with this game.

Truth.

I spend the least amount of time in the water on any GTA where swimming is possible. Swimming is dry. The irony.

I'd rather kill myself and re spawn at a local hospital rather than be stuck in the depths of the ocean just so I wouldn't have to go through the torture of swimming to dry land.

I'm actually having a lot of fun with the underwater, searching for Submarine parts and hunting sharks.

I don't believe its a simple case of interiors or ocean floor though.

No. I want both the underwater AND the interiors. 5 f*cking years is enough to do all that. Just start planing GTA VI ASAP.

I would have like to see another city, but they are trying to please everyone and create immersion I guess. I think online is gonna be crazy.

Yea, some of the interiors look well done but you just can't enter them. Maybe it's possible for a console modder to airbreak or teleport into one of the closed interiors like you mentioned?

Change characters for a while or simply save the game at the safehouse and then go back to your previous character and save 5k?

I'd rather have a whole world of sealife & underwater exploration. Why would I want to go inside someone's house? Also, I hardly ever even went inside a Burger Shot in IV. Easter eggs are half the fun in GTA, there are plenty underwater.

Sometimes I miss the burger shot and cluckin bell but still the ocean being open for exploration is something that you simply can't find in GTA games it's fun using either a submersible or just dive in :D I really love how the map was made though I feel like Los Santos didn't have enough tall buildings and populated areas like Liberty City :(

Yes

There shouldn't even be an ocean in fckin LA!

If you drive for 30 minutes (probably less) from LA, you'll reach the beach which is in Santa Monica and Santa Monica is in GTA V.

Interiors that serve no real purpose? no thanks, id rather have the ocean and wait for interiors to be added in the future for stuff like online and dlc.

Interiors are nice & there should be more, but if there's nothing to do inside them, what's the point?

I don't understand you guys saying "there's nothing to do in interiors". How is there anything to do underwater but swim? In interiors, there's a wide array of life happening. Dance clubs like in TBOGT & Vice City....I mean you could at least start massacres inside.

You can easily have both. This is not a limitation problem.

Don't really care for extra interiors though. Helps with the immersion but that's about it, will never really enter them.

No thank you

the deep sea is creepy as f*ck and so much better than any interior

the only thing they could've done better is making it a little bit deeper
