Ok so as many of you know GTA 5 is an amazing game with not so amazing bugs , freezing, and glitches that many people are having trouble with. The most common ones being "Disc Unreadable/Unrecognized" , Random Freezing, "Open Tray" , and "Storage error" some not even able to get past the first missions without the game freezing, people are tweeting and calling Rockstar trying to let these bugs be known, but R* isn't doing much to help and almost ignoring the problems almost as if they dont exist. Instead they just wanna give out generic responses such as "It's your Xbox / PS3 try another console" No f*ck you Rockstar, how about you f*ckers come out with a COMPLETE and fully functional game instead of putting out this incomplete, piece of sh*t, glitchfest . I would think that thousands upon thousands of customers contacting you all about the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS happening on their consoles would ring some type of bell for you that the problem does not lie within our Xboxes and Playstations, but instead your sh*tty ass poorly made game! This is a HUGE disappointment and something needs to be done about it ASAP!!!

Take a look at these videos

And what about people who want to play it but can't because of these glitches? You really aren't the brightest spark are you, aln456?

If The Game Stinks ... Just Don't Play it! :rol:

Your new edited comment does not make you any brighter.

Its the bugs, glitches and game crashes that makes the game stink. A fully working GTA V does not stink.

If R* would fix it, the minority with the problems would enjoy the game like the rest of us.

Strange. Maybe they've had a bad production batch. I feel bad for those with the errors, but if it's a production fault, then it's not a problem with the game perse, but rather the discs used. I wonder how wide spread the problem is, I haven't heard of anyone with the problem until now.

Keep your pants on. It hasn't even been a week yet. You think they can just a pull a magic patch out of a hat? It takes weeks to MONTHS to pinpoint these errors and test them before approving.

I understand how frustrating it can be but at the same time you can't blame Rockstar for not having enough old ass hoopty Xbox 360's laying around to test the game on. They're not reliable as the 360 slim (YES I know a few people with the slim are also having problems but to a wayyy lesser degree).

Sucks to suck guys. I am playing GTA V on my Xbox 360 Arcade with 256 MB and 64 GB Sandisk Cruzerwith HDMI cable. No problems whatsoever. No texture problems, pop-ins, or unreadable disks (knock on wood). If you are getting an unreadable disk with GTA V, it really might be your console. Some people are really rough with their console and they leave im places wehre they are susceptible to get damaged. If it isn't your console, clean your disk with a polyester cloth or 100% cotton cloth. If not, there are disk cleaners available at Best Buy. All you have to do is apply some of that solution on you disk, wait for it to sry, clean your disk (with the cloth they give you), then use your own 100% cloth. Does the trick everytime...well most everytime. If not, ask for a refund from where you bought the game (if it's Rockstar Warehouse..sucks to suck). If not, buy a new GTA V games. More often than not, it'll be a manufacturing defect (some worker or machine didn't do the job properly). If all else fails, sorry to say this, just buy another GTA V.

Snitch is being a bitch. I like it. I agree. People should just buy a new GTA V and call it a day if they are having problems.

If youve gotten multiple copies of a game and its still not working it is your console. I have a couple as do both of my roommates and plenty of my friends and none of us have had any problems. Might be because we don't abuse our consoles...

Yeah, these "hardcore gamers" that play video games for like 5-10 hours straight almost everday whenever a new game comes out have it coming to them. Most have dropped out of college, lost their job, and live in their parent's house. They are truly the future of America!

So what you are saying is a closed system with identical hardware amongst its users is having issues for some but not others. Why your saying is there is a bug that only a small amount of people are experiencing and it's somehow rock stars problem as it must be with the game?

How, if I haven't had it, if the guy next to me hasn't had it, we are not talking 1 in 10, we are talking one in thousands, otherwise this would be documented more.

It's an issue with either the disk or your hardware. The former is the problem of the retailer you purchased it with the latter is your problem.

All the errors you have thrown up in the OP are hardware generated errors. They are being thrown by the OS not the game.

Quick edit: those who install the second disk will see that storage device error a lot. Just saying

It's not the disc it's the old worn Xbox or PS3, blame Microsoft soft and Sony

This. I bought a new xbox a few moths ago because it stopped reading my disks, it was from the first batch around 6 years ago or whatever but still..... my PS2 and N64 still work well and they've been stood on and dropped a few times...

Disc error is a problem with the disc manufaturer not Rockstar, storage error is a problem with the storage manufaturer not Rockstar.

"Problem with storage device" error in Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox 360

Last updated 6 days ago

Question: During GTA V gameplay, loading, or while installing the game, I’ve gotten the error “The game was restarted due to a problem with the storage device…” on my Xbox 360. How can I get past these errors?

Answer:

While installing, loading, or playing the game on Xbox 360, we have heard a few reports from players encountering errors with their storage devices. Often, this error is caused by a failing storage device or installation to a older, heavily-used device, or else a USB drive or one that does not meet minimum specs.

  • Try clearing the cache for the device: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/clear-system-cache
  • If installed on a USB drive: Please make sure that the USB drive meets the minimum specs: it must be at least USB 2.0, with a minimum 15mb/s read speed, and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance. In the event that your USB drive meets these specifications and is new, please attempt installation onto another USB drive or directly to the Xbox 360 HDD if there is adequate space.

  • If installed on the XBOX console hard drive: Please attempt an installation to a USB drive that meets the minimum specs: it must be at least USB 2.0, with a minimum 15mb/s read speed, and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance
