ALL of you people would stop criticizing the game. Just because the driving isn't EXACTLY like IV's doesn't make it a bad game. Just because the cops are smarter doesn't make it a bad game. Just because the game wasn't made EXACTLY how you wanted it to be made, doesn't mean that it's a bad game. Just play the MASTERPIECE OF A GAME that they gave us instead of trying to find flaws in it! You guys are ruining the game.

People have a right to complain, just as much as the people who praise it. We all paid for the game. We are all entilted to our opinion.

It is a masterpiece that is several grades lower than what the masters can do. I would applaud you for drawing like South Park but if Michaelangelo did it, it would be really f*cking embarrassing.

Yes, people do have a right to complain, but when workers spend 5 years creating and developing a near-perfect game, spending more than $137 million dollars to create a game just for the players, I think they shouldn't have the right.

"Just because" of one thing, the game isn't ruined.
But group it all together... :p

It's not a bad game, but I can sympathize on all levels.
Is it a masterpiece? No - just like I've NEVER found a game in my twenty years of gaming (I've played since I was three) that deserved a 10/10.

Is it a good game, despite this flaws? Absolutely.
And, finally, did this subject warrant a thread? Not really. People are entitled to their opinions; if you don't want to deal with it, you're free to leave these forums. Any moderator or dev would agree.

Never said I didn't like it? I don't like it when people criticize hard work.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever read. So just because they spent a lot of time making the game, people shouldn't have opinions? This is far from a perfect game. It's great, but not perfect. FYI They made over a billion. They were well paid for their time. Not like they worked for free. And we didn't get our games for free.

What about the duke nukem game?

Just because it took so long and cost a lot I should automatically respect it? f*ck no bro.

They decided to make singleplayer a hollow empty shell of GTA online, so Ima judge it on those flaws. The game has good things about it yes, but they could have used those 5 years and all that money to produce something better than this. I know this because they HAVE done so before. Can only hope that online really does make up for the singleplayers short comings and I do have faith.

I know they made over $1 billion dollars. But if ROCKSTAR knew how much criticism they were going to get rom the release, they probably wouldn't have released it.

The problem is that the driving is like GTA IV in ways we don't want it to be, such as rapid deceleration. Why Rockstar won't fix this is beyond me. Calling this game a masterpiece with such a glaring flaw is akin to calling a resume with typos a masterpiece!

As someone pointed out Rockstar made well over a billion dollars so far, which dwarfs the $137 million spent making the game. Second, I paid $60 for the game and, as a customer, I have the right to complain about inexcusable flaws in this game.

No, they didn't make singleplayer a hollow, empy shell of GTA online, the IDEA for GTA:O came during the developing for the singleplayer campaign. The campaign came first, then GTA:O.

Exactly. Single player feels like it was just thrown together last minute. It's a slap in the face to those of us who enjoy single player over online. I'll play both! But online needs to blow me away or this game will be sold as fast as possible to try and get a return on what I invested

So why does the singleplayer have 550 missions less than online?

Why does singleplayer have no non mission hiests but online does?

Why does singleplayer have no customization tools for creating your own events like online does?

Why does singleplayer have no player housing to the length online does?

Why does singleplayer have less walk in stores/less customization options and more useless parts of the map?

They have specifically designed the singleplayer experience to be a hollow shell of the online, so people have a right to complain at the vast differences when more of a middle ground could have been reached. To say that it's not an empty shell compared to what it could have been as demonstrated online is a joke.

Really? Lets compare..

Single player - Can change clothes and limited options with hair. Online - You select your parents and their DNA helps moled your player

Casino - Single player there is a casino. But you can't do anything with it. Online - Assuming it's there, we will be able to go inside and gamble

Single player - roughly 125 missions Online - 500 at launch. More to come

Single player - Can't buy houses Online - You can buy houses, customize them and invite friends over. Live news feed on the TV

Get my point? Single player hollow and lacking any features that were promised. Online - a cash cow in the waiting.

SINGLEPLAYER is supposed to have less missions. GTA IV only had 90 missions. Singleplayer has less because of it has to follow a story. GTA:O, sure there are 500+ missions, but they don't follow a story. You do them with friends and you get paid for it.

Who cares if there is or is not a Casino? Gambling just causes addictions and you lose all your money.

Who cares what the character wears in Singleplayer? Everytime you switch characters, their clothes change, and about the hair I don't know why they didn't add more.

Singleplayer, you're not supposed to buy houses not pertaining to the storyline.

Franklin gets a big mansion about 1/3 through the story. Trevor moves in with Wade's cousin, I don't know what Michael gets.

What's the point in customizing a house in SP if you have no friends to invite over? Live News feeds wouldn't work in SP because nothing happens when you aren't around where things are SUPPOSEDLY happening.

They spent a lot more that 137 million to make the game. Try 250 Million.

Pretty sure the online has story lines going on to bro from what you see in videos, it's not just payday in GTA.

None of your arguments make sense when you consider the fact GTA is meant to be a huge free roam game. It's not just play the story and quit, there is an endgame that they should expect their playerbase to keep on playing in for awhile. Yet they provide nothing for those players to buy, nothing for those players to rob and nothing for those players to do.

The fact you can't rob any banks at all amazes me.

Give me one decent argument as to why they shouldn't have made the singleplayer include at least some of the functions I listed earlier.

Okay, you want ONE decent point? Alright.

GTAV singleplayer can't have more than 500 missions, because a story has to be followed. People would soon get bored with the high amount of missions and either give up playing them, or just wait until GTA:O came out.

i miss the chance to counter while fist fighting. and the one shot counter's with the knife.

but on the driving tip, its pretty shakey. i might just be trippin' but i lower aim sensitivity while driving far distances and doing races. then re raise it up for shooting missions. also auto aims whacked. gta 4's was g as sh*t for head shottin. i go free aim now.

said this in like 3-4 other posts also. the look behind while driving 1st person, completely retarded. i dont wanna see my character looking in the rear view. i want to look in the rearview

LOL is your head really that far up Rockstar's ass? Are you on their pay role? If we are counting just story based missions, this game offers about 65 I think? They could have included more non story stuff. And I'm not talking about driving a stupid tow truck. And the number of missions isn't the point. Yes it make sense for online to have more. It's just one of the many flaws with single player.

I care if there is Casino. So does a lot of other players. Is this your best agrument against why it shouldn't be added to the single player? It cause gambling problems??! Not only is it something extra to do, it also gives us something to waste our virtual money on.

I like the fact characters change clothes. It adds a bit of realism to the game. Again, not really my point.

The feautre is built into the game. Just because you don't find use for customizing your house offline, doesn't mean others don't. It gives us something to spend our money on. It gives the game just slightly more replay value. Same with buying new houses. It's already built into the code. Why leave it out?!'

And don't get me started on the heist missions.

I have about 4 friends who play video games. And they are rarely on. So now Rockstar is forcing me to play online if I want to use all these extra features that they promoted. I am not an online gamer. I much more prefer the offline experience. That is the issue here. I'm just praying for private lobbies. That way when my friends aren't online, I can just go create my own room and play it like a single player game.

No one said it was. Why do people connect complaints with overall hating the game?

People can have issues with it, but when they start telling everyone who doesn't have the same issues that they're a noob/idiot/wrong, then there's a problem.

And a bunch of them don't see why people are telling them to f*ck off when they insult everyone.
