How to make money after completion...

Right so in completed the game a few days ago and I'm looking to buy Los Santos Golf Club. The price is $150,000,000 but after completion I'm left with just short of $50,000,000. Is there a way to make big money after completion? I've looked everywhere for an answer and people seem to just say stocks but the stocks in my game all seem to have been settled. The low ones stay low and the high ones stay high...

I can only agree with zupex, as we can see the map and activies in this game are great. But there is a big money issue, which was never seen in any gta before.

Hope we'll get a big blowjob on 1st october

Exploit the game by cheating or completely start over and exploit the stock market.

Welcome to great game design.

There is something to work towards - and when you do heists etc in GTAO it'll speed that process up I'd expect.

It's interesting that everyone seems to assume that "rockstar screwed up" rather than thinking 'I wonder why they did it like that'. You really think they spent 6 years and 250M on a game and were like 'oh lolz math problem'???

With what Michael is bringing in per week now for me, I can afford the golf course in 224 hours. Most multiplayer games I play I have well over 600+ hours this year alone. So casual gamers or short term gamers, wont get the golf course, but I will.

If you don't stick with it, you miss out, boohoo.

I truely think there is a big maths problem. It's obvious that there is content cut out short before the game gone gold.

It's funny isn't it. People complained about GTA IV because we had so much money after finishing the game but nothing really to spend it on. Now, people (like me) have finished the game but don't have enough money to buy the really expensive properties, haha.

The spend money achievement is for the 3 base characters only, so online won't help the money issues at all. So it's basically 224 hours playing a limited game as they saved 80% of heists and fun things for online (which is way higher up on the better end of being monetarily after the story, assume you left some assassination missions til the end).

You honestly consider waiting in time for weeks to pass so you can collect automatically generated money hard work? Yeah sure thing buddy.

Hard work would have been robbing bank and other heists, they decided to not include them though so /shrug.

I could restart the game and make a billion easy now I know how to play the stocks (they are entirely based on every mission and change after every mission if you keep track). I am not going to though as that would be immensely boring :s The option to generate money in a realistic and fun manner should be in the game.

Enjoy your hard work afkn to golf club.

Zupex just get the point. Average players should be able to buy all properties in a single player through funny activities after i say a maximum of 100 hours.

But there is nothing funny in doing money glitches or robbing the same fuel station more than a few tousand times to at least buy one of the properties. This isn't a challenge, its just BS

The fastest way to earn big money is probably to play the stock market. Buy something that is low in LSE and then go find and blow up their competitors assets. There are lists you can find online showing which companies are competing against each other.

It would be cool if they allowed us to repeat heists to earn extra money after completing the main missions using a different approach that hadn't been used.

Has already been proven that there is no real effect from doing such things, nearly all stock changes beyond 1 or 2 points in the market are influenced by missions (not just Lester).

It's literally 100 times faster to completely redo the campaign than any other method.

It's interesting that everyone seems to assume that "rockstar screwed up" rather than thinking 'I wonder why they did it like that'.

Very few people (if any) are suggesting they "screwed up," and we're not wondering why it's like this. We know. It's a cheap tactic to make people keep playing the game by giving them a lofty goal to reach which is nothing but a thinly veiled timesink.

If people want to work for it, they can. But trying to argue that this is clever game design is ridiculous.

Why do you retards keep whining that you haven't made $150m yet? The game has been out 5 days. Rockstar intended for it to be a challenge.

i love how people think buying the most expensive and exclusive item in the game shouldn't take you months of effort. you might as well use some cheat/exploit since you're too lazy to do the work.

CURRENTLY YOUR ONLY OPTION IS The stock market is the answer . If u didn't make all your money from the stock market durning the assassinations, use the money u HAVE left over from the final heists and buy the two most lucrative properties with Michael, invest the majority of your money in stocks. You have to do this carefully though. So do your YouTube research. In order to get large profits in market u need to invest a large amount of money. If u do this right u should be on your way to affording the golf clubs hefty price tag. Of course it will take time though.

Why are ppl suggesting robberies ? They only get u thousands . This guy is obviously talking about making millions .

Both of you please explain to me why you think getting the money takes effort, when they put in no means of earning the money. If you don't play the stocks during the story mode, then your only even remotely functioning source of income are properties. These properties simply take VAST amounts of play time and no actual effort to obtain, you are looking at hundreds of hours just to pay off the investment...

Don't call other people retards because they can recognize the inability to generate cash due to lack of activities.

People WANT heists to make money. People WANT to run businesses that actually make decent cash flow (this could be increased income through criminal missions, seeing as the characters are criminals... Dodgy money and all that).

But the option to generate income post story isn't there. It isn't a grind. It isn't a lot of effort. It is simply non existent. There is nothing to put effort into to generate money :/

You could complete the story four times over, in the time it would take any of you to get even remotely close to half way to 150 on one character. That's bad design, it shouldn't be more efficient to start over and play stocks. It should be more efficient to have actual activities to do! More missions that actually effect stocks (all missions do in story so you can profit each time, just not as clearly as Lester missions).

It has nothing to do with laziness or lack of effort. There is f*ck all to put effort into.

I've been thinking about how people here and the articles I've read stated that they'd be random heists you can do ( which so far none seem to exist) and I have to wonder. What if like with RDR how they released weekly challenges, gang hideouts, events ( remember some of these were both MP & SP) if they do something similar for GTA V after OCt. 1st where many of the challenges and heists they claimed were in the game roll out both for SP and MP.

i agree about the heists thing, but don't say there aren't ways to make money. small time robberies only, property, investments

i didn't call anyone retards, i just think it's silly to think you should have the money to buy the most exclusive thing in the game after a week or two of playing. every game has incentives for the people that are able to put the time and effort into grinding their way through, and if you don't have the time you can cheat, i don't see that as a problem.

i do see the lack of fun things to do as a problem, i fully expected more heists from R*'s marketing, but i went back and watched all the trailers and stuff and it's obvious now all the fun random activities will be in gtaO, i wish they put some in SP but whatever, i'll wait and see. i'm not happy about things like no accessible interiors, or how you can't roam while in the cable car, can't freely do menial jobs for your properties, deliver pizza.

but you can rob trucks, rob other criminals during random encounters, run guns, pick up radioactive material.. there are many ways to make money, but it takes time and effort.

Well.. Rockstar did say that the single player is basically a tutorial for GTA:O. I'm pretty sure we'll be able to do MUCH MUCH more in GTA:O

When the robberies and all that result in $800 on average once you are done with collectibles, it's not exactly a legitimate source of income in regards to saving $150,000,000. That's not hard work that's f*cking masochistic. We are talking in the hundreds and hundreds of hours spent doing mundane activities. Replaying the game to abuse stocks shouldn't be a thousand times more viable.

They could have added banks that are on a one week cooldown til you can rob them again. They didn't. And the fact that the online is going to be good doesn't excuse this huge gaping flaw in the singleplayer. All it does is create doubts in my mind regarding the online if they need to do things like this to make it look good.

Dont complain just yet, wait until the Bawsaq stocks really start working with GTAO, and we will see if its such an unreasonable amount then.
