MOGGYASAURUS Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 I fully admit up front to hating 95% of modern mainstream chart music and would never listen to it at home. But... In the typically great tradition of GTA radio stations that seem to have songs that worm their way into your brain no matter what genre they belong to, I do quite like cruising around the streets and the coast to some sugary summery pop. It just seems to catch that sunny California vibe (or how those of us who've never been there imagine that it would). In an open topped fast car with that perfectly evocative Hollywood sunshine greeting you as you enter the highway and see the ocean to your right... I could listen to that station all the time! Dr Kain Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 Unlike past GTAs, I find myself actually switching through all of the radio stations based on what is playing because there is at least one song on each one I enjoy. HitGta Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 As someone who listen to a lot of pop/edm/"mainstream" genre, I find that radio channel REALLY disappointing. What happened to all those EDM/Pop hits that has been made the last 5 years? Instead we get some cheesy 90's dance tunes, and a single Rihanna track. (And they actually chose the worst of her tunes). And it's like half of the time when I switch to that channel, I hear "THIS IS THE RHYTHM OF THE NIGHT!" Come on Rockstar... Either this has been a money problem with the labels, which I think, or they must have a really bad taste in music. They could have made a 80's/90's channel, and another one dedicated to the pop/edm hits that has been made the past few years. The game is set in 2013, but half of the music on the radio channels are from the 80's/90's, with songs that have already been used in other games. I love Cara Delevingne, so naturally, when I discovered she was the DJ for Non-Stop Pop FM, I almost shat bricks. Plus, having Scandalous by Mis-Teeq, Glamorous by Fergie, Only Girl by Rihanna, Don't Wanna Fall in Love by Jane Child and Gimme More by Britney Spears is fantastic because those are 90% of the songs in the game that I actually know.
