Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 Looking on the Lifeinvader accounts for some of the characters I found something that makes me 99% sure the Revenge ending to IV was the canon choice for Niko. Franklin has a sibling, or cousin (can't remember which) who's living in LC, and one of their status updates reads: "Roman's taxi service = worst taxi service"- implying Roman is still alive. However, I hope he's alive, as he's the most lovable bumbling fool in any GTA game (although I haven't got anywhere near finishing V yet). I love those Life Invader blog comments & it's a cheap way to flesh out the wider HD GTA universe. I've seen a few comments by IV characters & the best part is, their avatar pictures show their new V look. Is that movie star 'Napoli' from TBOGT actually in this game, or just on the website. You only get that call if you choose 'Deal' & not 'Revenge' in IV. We also see Packie at the airport at the end of IV (or was it TBOGT?). That's why people said they were sure Packie was going to be in V, even though Rockstar said no main characters would return. In the end we got a protagonist returning. I thought that Lester's mention of him would foreshadow his appearance, but I guess. Canonically speaking, if Niko was free enough to travel to Los Santos, and if Roman is dead, then there's not much anyone can do to keep the business running, unless Mallorie's a hard-working-ass mothaf***.
