There are, but not as many as in GTA 4, where you could see 5 police vehicles in a traffic jam. Would be cool if they chase me after they caught me speeding but no they don't. ONLY problem I have with cops system in V so far and it's not a big deal. Probably just off a chase. If you want to prove your point shoot a some video of you driving around and coming up on some cops patrolling. It's actually pretty realistic because I commute a fairly long way to school twice a day, and on average I'll see a cop patrolling maybe once or twice a week. toybasher Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 (edited) I've noticed almost no cop cars on patrol outside of "Scripted" events such as the FBI and some scientists checking out radar dishes in the desert. I ususally only see cops chasing other drivers, never seen one on foot aside from outside the police station. I have seen the police bike twice now just parked for speeders. Also there is a very specific U turn outlined in this topic http://gtaforums.com/topic/596527-unmarked-police-cruiser-and-fib-vehicle-locations/ People claim to have spotted unmarked cruisers and buffalos hiding out there around nighttime. I've been there a few times and I can confirm I HAVE spotted a police van there, which immediately chased another driver as I went up to it. I only really see the police interceptors. The crown vics I see EXTREMELY rarely, unless in the countryside. (The sheriff drives crown vics, never interceptors) So far though there isn't enough police cars on patrol. Neither are there enough, if any, officers on foot. One other little complaint though is a one star wanted level tends to escalate to two stars VERY quickly. I've had instances where cops who are running towards to bust me end up taking so long to actually run up to me, the wanted "Resisting Arrest" timer runs out and gives me a second star. I've seen more police vehicles chase NPCs than just cruisin' around This. It was cool the first 10 times, but it's just so repetitive.. Maybe if sometimes they arrest ppl, or if they do traffic stops.
