Echolex
I remember it being mentioned more than once that you could overtune your cars. I watched a lady in Vinewood Hills pull into her driveway with the first Infernus I'd seen so far so naturally I stole it from her as she screamed and fell on her face, took it to a garage and maximized every tuning option available but the only thing I (think) I notice is that it doesn't handle as well as it used to. Is that all overtuning is?
Udrift
People have different ideas of what good handling is. What do you mean by it doesn't handle as well as it used to; what don't you like about the handling now.

I (think) it doesn't turn as well It had maximum acceleration before I upgraded it's engine & transmission to level 4, and gave it turbo
Udrift
Do you mean it doesn't turn as sharp? Does it understeer now? Or does it oversteer? Or do you mean it doesn't slide as much?

Udrift
I dunno then. Maybe even though you had maximum acceleration before you added the turbo, it added more torque or something that is not visible in the car stats. Their are multiple stats in the handling files, and with SA, they did some crazy things to get the effects they wanted. The turbo might add more horsepower or torque, but it wouldn't surprise me all that much if it instead lowered the drag coefficient or weight. Or it might just increase traction in the rear; there are two different ways it could do this. One way, if they moved the center of gravity towards the rear, it would take some responsiveness from the front. I am not saying that this is what is going on, more likely than not it just added more torque, horsepower or acceleration, even though that stat was already maxed and the car is kind of pushing through the corners. I would just mess around with it. Take time and find a car that you like, and then mess with it from there, change everything. Every change you can do in the custom shop will probably have an effect on other things. I know that me and how I am going to do some drifting, there is a good chance that I am going to want the worst tires. Like your OP though, the best options might sometimes overtune things.
