Lester/franklin missions

Hi

 

Was hoping to be able to leave these missions for a while so I could make more money from heists, but it seems I need to do them to further the story.

 

 

Is there anywhere I can make a quick 100k

Or so to give me a nice amount to put on stocks for the lester missions?

The best way is to not take cabs and rob liquor stores and 24/7s. I'm sure there are more ways to do it that the rest of the community will share.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to do all them, because when I completed V, I still had 2 Lester missions left. But yeah, I'd suggest you hold off those missions until end-game.

You have to do the first Lester mission I think to advance the story (

The Hotel Assassination

), but you can stop after that I think and just do the story.

As above, you only have to do the first one, you don't need to complete them all.

 

As for making money, there's a 'Random Event' up at the bottom of Mount Chiliad, down a dirt trail just north of Grapeseed. Fighting off the gang and killing a guy guarding a case will allow you to pick up the case. Inside the case is between $40,000 and $100,000. It's not always available, like the rest of the random events, so you may need to revisit it a couple of times every game day. This even is repeated every game week or so.

 

There's also an Altruist Cult Shootout 'Random Event' that takes place in Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness. There's a hidden package on the porch of the shack with the water tower, nearest the front gate of the Altruist Camp, which has a lot of money in it. The porch also has an Armor and Rocket Launcher on.

This can only be triggered by Trevor as you have to have delivered 4 random people to the Altruist Camp instead of taking them to their desired destination.

 

 

Another 'Random Event' is also found in Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness is a drug deal that's gone sour. At the end of a dirt path on your right as you come over a bridge on Great Ocean Highway at North Chumash is mess of dead bodies and trucks. Further south is a dying drug dealer that tells you to leave the case alone, and then dies. The case contains $25,000, so take it.

But be warned, as you leave you will find yourself fighting off a couple of cars full of gangsters wanting their money.

 

 

Also, like mentioned above, you can rob convenience/liquor stores spread around the map for a few thousand dollars.

 

There are also a bunch of a Security Vans around LS that can be held up for $2,000 - $8,000.
