mikekolesar
So I read on IGN that a good money-earning opportunity after you finish the game lies in the stock market. They explained competitors and how buying a lot of stocks from company A then sabotaging lets say company B's trucks on the highways (blowing them up) will make company A's stock go way way up. Well I bought a bunch of stocks in Burgershot. $15 million to be exact. For two hours I rode around Great Ocean Highway (a highway in the desert where semi trucks commute) and I used sticky bombs to blow up Up-n-Atom marked semi trucks and the trailers attached to them. I did this because Burgershot and Up-n-Atom Burgers are direct competitors. Fast forward over 2 hours and I discovered that my highest profit from $15 million worth of shares of Burgershot was just 20k. Every other time I checked the stock market it was in the negative, the highest being -$160k. I am seriously confused. I had to have destroyed probably 10 Up-n-Atom trailers every 5 IRL minutes and yet Burgershot's stocks were only declining. This has me greatly questioning the stock market. Is IGN wrong in saying this is a strategy or is it a flaw? Even if IGN isn't wrong this strategy is terrible. It took me about 60 minutes IRL to notice a $20k profit. How the hell are people suppose to earn money efficiently enough to buy the Golf Course, $150 million????????? BettyBlueGT
Some people say these tactics work and way more say they don't.. The system is flawed to the max it seems.
mikekolesar
I tried it again. Burgershot was up 3 cents so i bought $15m worth of stocks. I killed 5 up-n-atom trucks. I checked 2 mins later my stocks returned a -40k loss. f*ck. You. Rockstar.
Honest Bill
they definitely work when you are on the assassination missions. Maybe it's just not applicable to free roam. mikekolesar

Jkickit
After you sabotage something try doing missions/sleeping, see if anything changes.
Slippery Gypsy
What are these assassination missions people speak of?
Poker2012chu
What are these assassination missions people speak of? These are the optional Lester missions. He will ask the player to kill someone who's usually associated with a company that participates in the stock exchange. You invest in the competitor's company, assassinate the other guy, and then the competitor's stocks will skyrocket. You will profit big time if you invest right. You should wait to do the rest of these missions after you finish the main story line because you'll have more capital (money) to invest. It's the only way also to be able to afford the 150 million hour golf course without grinding through dozens of hours of exploits, or hundreds of hours of regular jobs that pay you.
