robbing stores

I robbed a store when starting a new game. Im guessing I should of worn a mask or something because everytime i go into the store the guy is afriad of me and wont serve me or let me rob him..

 

I saw youtube videos of people robbing stores and they werent wearing masks anyone else having the same luck as me?
