I completed the game with like 2 deaths total across all characters, yet this one stupid ass rampage side mission has killed me about 10 times in a few minutes. OpenWorld23 Posted December 2, 2013 Share Posted December 2, 2013 It only took me three try's to beat the tanks but I pulled through. You gotta get close enough (5 feet or so) to the point where the tank stops firing and then you use the grenade launcher on the back end (engine compartment) or the top of the turret of the tank like theres no tomorrow. I'm just glad they only have two tanks come after you. If you get the best body armor from amunation you have a good chance of surviving two or three near hits from the tanks main cannon (Tanks don't aim very well thank god). I thought it was funny how it all started by two racest army troops making fun of Canada to start a small war against Trevor. am30 Posted December 3, 2013 Share Posted December 3, 2013 It's pretty easy if you keep moving and use the grenade launcher. About 5 or 6 grenades should knacker the tank. Hiding behind the brick wall next to the entrance bridge to the fort is a good plan as the tank shells have no effect on it. I think if you're close enough to the tank, it has to angle the gun too low for it to be effective. I've noticed this whilst driving my own one (well Trevor's really). After getting one-shotted by the tank one time I realized that I couldn't just stand there when the tank showed up. None of the other enemies present any particular problems. I just ran up the embankment across the road from the base entrance monument, seemed like the tank couldn't really get at me from up there. At first it's all intimidating until you realize the only way you could fail is by setting the control down. I was almost disappointed actually. REXX Posted December 7, 2013 Share Posted December 7, 2013 I managed to pass the rampage on my second attempt. As mentioned earlier, the hill is probably your best bet. I noticed that there was a small bump on the hill where you could clearly fire at the tank, but the tank shots could not hit you, was actually a great advantage.
