Pop-in is a very bad thing, its ruining the game completly!! Its sooo annoying!

Xbox-not-install-game-disc vs. PS3-disc-version

I have watched many video's on youtube to compare xbox and ps3 - and it looks like xbox have no pop-in - not a single one!! PS3 have far more pop-in, and bad LOD!!

I have compared xbox, when you install game-disc to usb, with ps3's disc version!

I think PS3 is a better console though!

How do you think? Many of you may not care about this, or dont notice it at all - but for me, its ruining the game!

Any solution for PS3?

Doesn't it force you to install the game on PS3?

When I first started it up, it spent a couple minutes installing

What do you mean about that? How should that help anyway?

I haven't noticed any major pop-in or texture loading problems. I have the Xbox version as well (don't ask why), but haven't played that version yet.

There's a bridge down in the hood area that doesn't load while driving at full speed in a fast car, that's with 360.

They are so minor, you really have to be looking for them to even notice. So no, they don't bother me at all.

Why don't you post some comparison videos & point out what you're talking about. And really, it's "ruining the game"? Hyperbole if ever I heard it.

My advice to you is to take your PS3 down to the beach and throw it in the sea.

Tjeck your console again - I dont believe its 360 - sorry! Just look at all youtube videos about GTA on xbox - you would not find a single pop-in!!!

Just search for it on youtube! My point in OP is so obvious - xbox have none pop-in, ps3 have many!

Why?

Free up space under the TV for an Xbox 360.

If he thinks the pop-in in V is game ruining bad, then God only knows what he thought of IV.

I haven't experienced it in V yet but yes it was terrible in IV.

Crashing into an invisible bollard which then appears 5 seconds later.

Or textures still loading during cutscenes. That was pretty shocking. None of that in V.

"all you tube video show that ps3 has popins"

That's probably because you searched for "GTAV PS3 pop in"

I have the PS3 version. The only pop in I ever see is the big rigs spawning when Im speeding down the high way.

I'm giving the game back if this isn't fixed.

Everything was fine at the start, ever since I unlocked Trevor the texture pop-in has been ridiculous.

Oily buildings and bridges in the distance, mountains look like terrain from Fallout 3. Bushes, trees, sign-posts, pedestrians appearing out of nowhere. It was all working perfect before, now it's unbearable.

It's as if the draw distance has gradually deteriorated since I reached the outer Los Santos area.

I feel scammed by Rockstar here.

I'm on an Xbox and haven't installed the play disc.

Hugely disappointed. I was enjoying the game so much.
