ROTFLMFAOCOPTER Posted September 21, 2013 Share Posted September 21, 2013 3 or 4 days ago who told me, face-to-face, that he enjoys and prefers Saints Row 4 over GTA V. Now, as you can probably imagine, the look on my face was equivalent to that of eating a lemon soaked in malted sh*t. I saw the fear in his eyes as my face slowly shifted from sour discontent, to outraged disbelief. My eyes were locked onto his with the stare of an Apache Chief, lusting for the kill of a naked female European settler. I scalped him with the GTA V install disc in my mind and my dreams the following 2 days. After the first brief moments of shock and agony, I began to realize that this man, a human-being not unlike myself, is capable of forming his own (though idiotic) opinions. So, I promptly asked- why? His response sent a shiver down my spine and has haunted my thoughts everyday since.. For about 2 seconds and then I go on with my life and don't really give a sh*t what some friend of a friend of a friend's (acquaintance, if you will) preference in video gaming is.. -Not for the feint of heart- His verbatim reasoning to why he preferred SR4 to GTAV was-- "Grand theft auto is too realistic and Gay. Video games are meant to be fun and an escape from reality. When I play GTA it feels like a chore.. Like I'm living my life inside this controller rather than actually living".. (lolwat).. "Saints Row has always been the more exciting game and is way more comedic..." Me (stomach in my throat at this point): "more comedic?.... Let me guess, you like Dane Cook standup?" Him: "Dane cook is alright.. Have you seen Tom Green's stand up?? (laughs as he asks this) Now that's some funny sh*t." Me: -________- *inserts metaphorical bullet into temple* Him: "Sorry, but I know I fun game and sense of humor when I see one, and SR4 outweighs GTA in both regards... Not that GTA is a baaadd game, it's just... Kinda gay." Me: .______. "You're literally fortunate that this isn't 1500 a.d and I am not implored to burn you at the stake for such an opinion."... "I've never had a reason to use the word 'blashepmy' until this exact moment."... "Never reproduce." Him: (laughing) "You're just a GTA fanboy who doesn't know what real entertainment is." Me: *exits room with Yao Ming meme face whispering* "I just encountered the son of SR4 creator, or the devil himself" ... "To each their own" .___. I told him no, that I had only got about 20% into the game so far. He then proceeded to tell me that "He didn't even make it through the first mission it was so goddamn bad." and that he "wasted 60 dollars on a f*cking stupid game." If, you like, read the story, I walked out of the room smirking and whispered "to each their own" I realize how douchey it is to hate someone for their opinion, and guess what. I am that big of a douchebag. My bag of douche is large in weight and volume. And his opinion is wrong and he needs to pay, with his life. Or his first born sons life. voad1 Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 You do know that you could replace SR 4 with GTA V and GTA V with GTA 4 and it would be pretty similar. Fans of 4's driving and physics etc say, it's more challenging and realistic. V fans want something that is easier and "fun", instant gratification.
