Why is the Golf Course property so expensive?

I already completed the story 4 times because of the stock market, still end up with $86 million to $93 million each character after the construction assassination. And yes, I invested every single dollar into Gold Coast Insurance. Fak. Can't be bothered anymore to do it for the fifth time............

God damn, less than 5 minutes on the forums will instruct you on how to make 150m, quick. Without even needing to cheat, or use the internet. Save at least 3 of the Assassination missions and you'll be golden. You'll even have plenty left to f*ck around with.

I bought this easily like 3 hrs after main missions with stock market money and afer that used piswasser thread to make max cash. Properties feel a lil pointless to me on sp but I enjoy the side missions they create.

Yup, Topic in title, who can afford this place?

i have every single property bought and 1.5 billion dollars with each character. you have to listen to lester during the assassination missions for stock tips. other then that i would say use one character exclusively to buy it. if you didnt do the assassination missions and missed them you might be able to just barely have enough money to buy it. or buy a property and let the money stack up for weeks by sleeping over and over but thatll take forever. i didnt buy any properties until i was 97% complete

Yes the argument of old - we need businesses to buy in and end game to use our money ..

Agreed - totally - but fun businesses.

R* really want you to grind in SP as well as MP this year .....

I doubt many people can afford this after end game unless u glitched money or exploited the "scripted" stock exchange...

How has GTA gone from the best open ended world game of a generation to mission failure for driving off the road !!!

back on topic - the Golf course geezzz , if it came with a swanky safehouse I would say its a bit better but Golf Club should have been cheaper, $150,000,000

R* now wants you to grind .......

It's not just the golf club. The theatres cost a lot too. I'm starting a new game just so that I can leave the assassination missions until after the last heist. Apparently you can make $500-600m this way.

Hell yeah, all my characters have over 1 billion in the bank, and this is AFTER I bought every plane, helicopter, property, clothing article and boat.

If there is something to buy, I'll take it!

Gotta play that stock market. I invested ~45 million per character in the Pisswasser stock. Got me up to 200+ million for each character. Then you do Lester's assassination missions and swim in stacks. Or you can re-invest in Piss and get even a bigger pay.

There is no grinding involved, in SP. Step 1: Save Lester Assassin missions, Step 2: Beat game, Step 3: look up what stocks to buy before each assassination mission, Step 4: Buy the Stocks, Step 5: Do mission, Step 6: Profit

In online, yes there is grinding involved. It's the nature of the game. Instead of "grinding", do missions you find fun. I find the jets vrs dirtbikes mission a load of fun, and the money aint bad. Just play for fun, if you aint having fun, why you playing?

The problem with the golf course is that the weekly income is way too low when you have to pay $150 million for that property.

You can buy Ten Cent Theater for only $20 million (it's $130 million cheaper!) and it generates only $500 less per week than the golf course do. It's makes no sense at all. The golf course should generate at least $1 million per week if the price tag on $150 million is fair to the buyer.

The whole business thing is a joke in this game. GTA VC had it right. They get even more annoying than the friend dates in IV. If you own a business than you should hire some security that takes care of half the problems the game gives out to you.

Plus the golf course isn't even that expensive and a waste of 150 million if you do the lester stock missions. So I get free golfing or save 150 Million and spend the most on golf 10K.

Agreed. In my game, Franklin is a powerful billionaire, managing several pubs and clubs in the city, a golf course, a marijuana store, a towing company, and a scrap yard. He rolls around the streets in Veyrons and Koenigsegg but he still has to pick up that f*cking van Smoke On The Water needs.

The property management missions are worse than the friend activites from IV because they will happen no matter what you do. If I save my game, and 5 minutes later, I get a text from The Hen House stating that they ran out of booze and that I got to pick up a truck, no matter how many times I reload the game, I will get that text. It's programmed to happen.

And it's so incessant too, depending on what character I play with, I can get up to 3 to 4 texts per in-game day. That's a text every 12-16 minutes.

I saved the game before I purchased the Golf Course, and boy am I glad I did. You can't even wear golf clothes anymore if you buy it - no thank you. So my advice: Do not buy it if you haven't got 150 million to spare. There really isn't anything to it, aside from free golf and wearing your own clothes whilst golfing. The latter can even be considered a downgrade.

I've completed the Lester missions without taking advantage of the scripted market :( So is the best way for me to make money to invest in stock and hope they turn a profit in the future?

@designmafia

Yeah but I hate how the small alert pops up every time I use the phone. And also, I have to activate Sleep Mode everytime I play the game. Instead I just ignore every call/text I may receive.

Why do you want the golf course anyways? You don't need it for 100% and you're not getting anything from me. The revenue from that business is horrible.

well if you have a billion dollars then what else is there to spend on? might as well spend the 150 million for the golf course and if you buy it as Micheal and buy the 3 movie theatres you make 803000 so it's not that bad i mean yes the income sucks if you just buy that but buy those 3 movie places then you'll a lot of money.

I agree it's so stupid and unrealistic but i have to ask if you don't do the property missions will the income go down? i saw in the tips that if you do the property missions that the income will increase i have done the property missions for the movie places but i have not seen any increase so bullsh*t tip or bug? can anyone confirm?

Property income for everything except the Towing Impound, Car Scrapyard, McKenzie Field Hangar and Sonar Collections Dock are set to the same amount every week no matter what. Doing the missions or not will not affect the amount you make on the other properties.

my view on why it's so expensive is the same as why they won't let you take pics in sp unless you register online and all the other little things that are missing from sp for seemingly no reason other than to try and get you to sign up.. you can easily afford the golf course if you use the online and offline stock markets during assassination missions.. but if you are offline only and must have it, have fun grinding until you can afford it

Abuse the stock market while doing assassinations, become billionaire. It's probably so expensive just because of status. The actual income it makes blows compared to the price so it's pointless to buy it.
