Get Franklin's Buffalo as Michael

I searched and didn't see this anywhere. I just started a new game and I remember previously that if I tried to get their cars or something they would either be locked or they would go away. But now I permanently own Franklin's Buffalo on Michael! After the third mission, on the way home with Michael to his house, Franklin's car will be parked outside. Get in it and simply park it in the garage. So far it hasn't disappeared and Franklin still has it as well. I haven't tuned either car yet, but I'm going to see if they are linked or something at all.
