I'm sorry but this game requires no skill

Every vehicle drives and hits like a tank glued to the road - a far cry from IV's free flowing and dynamic physics. Just keep accelerating and press against the control stick a little to turn. At least in IV you were required to drive with some skill. Also don't even get me started with the crappy gun shooting mechanics. They basically just took Max Payne 3's miserable engine and stuck it into V.

You're pressing buttons on a controller. It's hardly a skill. Christ will people stop making topics about the handling being noob friendly. It's beyond pathetic now.

Driving still takes sill. We'll see when online comes out.

To me, GTA 4 took no skill. I felt like a magnet on the damn road. I could easily just avoid everything.

GTA IV required the skill to play against broken car mechanics, I'll give you that. I don't think that's anything for a game to be proud of, however.

I agree, it's so easy that I can drive a car across the entire city over and over and not even get a scratch on my car. Just not fun at all, it's for casuals. And I wasn't even particularly a good driver in IV, but it was certainly more fun to drive in that game.

Wait... Did you say skills! Ain't a game suppose to be fun? Games shouldn't always be about skills, but playing it for the fun of it. Stop whining.

op you say driving takes no skill. just take a vehicle of your choosing to the freeway and drive on the opposite side at high speeds. see how long you last.

Game is piss easy especially as Franklin when driving I spamed the hell out of his special. Plus if a mission is to chase down a vehicle you're basically using Mike's special lol.

Trevor hanger missions is hard for me at times though.

The game is about fun not skill. Your argument fails...

plane flying is rough in v. Does suck cars don't damage at all though. High speed crash and car looks the same, weak

Bro, it's GTA. You can't expect that it takes skill to do anything in this game lmao.

Play a flight sim if you want to test your skill. If you're not an airplane kinda guy then oh well. Plus, every single GTA is easy. I mean, they've mostly been drive there, pick this up, kill someone, drive somewhere else, pick something else up, shoot more, lose the cops, and then the mission is over.

Also GTA V uses the same engine that RDR and GTA IV use, so I'm not sure why you say it uses Max Payne's 3 miserable engine which is also the same one used in those 2 games.

The comparative ease of driving just means that the bar will be raised when online comes out. You just have to be able to do more to be a good driver now.

I can agree with you with that one. Trying to get your pilot wings from the the flying school is a task in itself and get annoying as hell. But free roam flying is such fun. :)

The driving is perfect. Every car feels fun to ride. Trust me, I was a HUGE fan of IV's driving (after about a 2 weeks of playing the game). I remember hating IV's driving at first... but the truth is that I only got used to dealing with IV's unbearably slippery, top heavy physics. Driving in GTA V feels fun. It reminds me of how fun it was to drive in past iterations (prior to IV).

Wait till you engage in races online, it'll be fun, more challenging, and still require skill.

All R* games run on the RAGE engine. do some research before you make a fool of yourself.

I agree it's was so easy to hand brake around a corner at 100 mph in any car in gta 4 physics in gta 5 are more realistic wish every body would stop bitching I love how every car feels different Edited by CaptainChronicV

Can someone lock all these topics about driving and damage and just start one thread for the 6 or 7 people who want to keep bitching about it?

This guy is obviously a wannabe troll. He keeps bashing on GTA V and people keep responding to his threads, I guess I am too though.
