Bullet holes,Wounds,Dismemberment !

Why did they took a step back from awesome visuals of Red Dead and Max Payne was it too hard performance wise or did they just wanted to keep going in GTA IV's direction ? it is really disappointing and it estranged me from the game.

yeah blasting someone with a shotgun is not fun anymore.

 

edit: but it's a very very small problem, the game is still great.

I think for MP3 it was different, it was a linear story and each shot was crafted to do it's own thing, with it's own effect.

 

Although I will say, it's disappointing we can't have headshots with cool effects.

The really crappy thing that's not in this game that both MP3 and RDR had are realistic reactions to gunshot wounds. I don't see anyone holding their arms, no crawling on the floor after getting shot in the leg, nothing like that. Just some shoddy looking animation where they're sitting up on the ground shooting.

GTA franchise is known for its details and giving the gamers what they want Red Dead Redemption was near perfect lets say 9.5 but GTA V is 9 in my opinion i care about this kind of little details that makes the game perfect especially how they handle gore.

I don't know if this is down to a technicality with console resource limitations, or whether or not R* are trying to avoid turning the game from a satirical sandbox and in to a murder simulator.

I'm happy with the game as it is to be fair, I quite like the arcade feel to the game. I don't really day dream about the possibility of lopping peoples limbs off for a laugh.

I guess there's a fine moral line when it comes to games such as this. There are GTAV players all over the world that are either side of that line & It's a careful balance to please everyone.
