Can we turn off nameplates and other indications that the person is a player?

 

One of my favourite parts of GTA IV was playing with anything that indicated the person was a player, meaning you could hide by driving like the AI and having to look carefully.

I think you will have a Npc Friend (a hacker) to remove you from the grid, removing your icons from map

I hope so, because what would be the point of stealth if a player can locate you no matter what your doing wither there's passive mode on or off ( if that's even a option) they can harass you. I read in another thread that the blips will be based on line of sight as well as vicinity, but no confirmation as of yet.

I don't want a big name above my head or a bigot on the map of we're I am. We could disable them in GTA IV.
