Garganda
Hey guys, I've been playing GTA V for 360 for 4 days now and I am loving it. Although, lately I have been seeming to get a lot of pop-in issues. The first few days the game ran very smooth, but ever since I unlocked trevor the game seems to have ALOT of pop-ins and it is also having trouble rendering textures. Note: I love this game and can't get enough of it, but I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem and/or knows how I can fix it? This isn't a complaint thread, I'm just trying to get a problem solved, because every minute or so there seems to be pop-ins and texture rendering no matter where I go! Chukkles
Did you install the play disc to your HDD?
ChaixMedia
Installing the 'PLAY DISK' to a USB seems to fix the problems with textures/freezing, etc from what I've heard.
Garganda
Did you install the play disc to your HDD? Nope, I only installed the install disc. It's just kind of annoying because textures are failing to fully load and pop-ins are happening every 10 seconds or so, so it looks really low-res compared to the first few days I played it when it looked beautiful. Dyce92
Same problems dude. Virtually unplayable for me now. Ever since I unlocked Trevor I've been getting oily buildings, random sign posts, trees, bushes and pedestrian's appearing out of nowhere. Hope it gets patched up, I kind of feel scammed by Rockstar. It's as if the draw distance is gradually shrinking the more and more of the map I unlock. The grass all around me when I'm on a mountain looks meshy only 1 metre ahead of me. It's so horrible. Felix Gibraltar
I have it on 360 and I have never had any issues with pop ins or texture. I have a 360 slim with the huge HDD.
jamieleng
God, I almost don't want to unlock anymore of the game hearing that. Not sure what's causing that for you, but why don't you email Rockstar & get their response. Make sure you say you've only installed the one disk. Der Süden
Playing on Xbox 360 Slim and I think I have the same problem. In the first days there were less popins and sh*t. Is there a solution? Deleting Cache?
OldSwitcheroo
1. Install disc installed to hdd 2. Play disc installed to usb hdd. Apparently this helps read times over that of the disc. Someone quoted a 45 second better game boot up time doing it this way, so it's bound to help in game i imagine. I'm going to test it this afternoon.
