GTA V Sniper Aim Problem

Hey guys,

 

xbox here, huge problem — so, when I use my sniper rifle in missions *sometimes* the green aim circle will not show up when aiming, so essentialy I have to try center guys in the middle of my TV screen to shoot them. For instance, I first noticed in the mission "By the Book", when I had to assasinate that guy at the party. The sniper had no aim, but I managed to do it easily enough and thought maybe it was just part of the game.

 

I am now doing "The Merryweather Heist" (option A) where Franklin has to snipe from the bridge, and once again there is no aim, making this mission impossible. I am getting so frustrated, I don't know what to do. I wish I could go back and switch to option B (does anyone know if this is possible without restarting the game?) to just get the mission over with and have forward progess.

 

Like I said, this is a huge, huge problem (I had other minor ones with sound ect...) but this is affecting the progress of the game. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, if they knew how to fix it, or if its some type of glitch. Like I said, it only happens sometimes — for the mission where Franlin has to shoot through the skyscraper it worked fine, but others not at all. Sorry for the huge post, and damn you rockstar!!!!!!!

You are not alone. I've been searching everywhere for a solution. I can't continue with the game until I've beat this but without the scope, it's too difficult.
