Falling through ground forever

I'm half way through the blitz mission and I saved my game in Michaels bed. Now whenever I try to walk outside I just fall through the ground until I spawn in the street but start falling again. All peds and some cars are falling too. Would this be a save game corruption or would it be to do with the install? Anybody else experienced this?
