CReaper210 Posted September 20, 2013 Share Posted September 20, 2013 As the title says, I'm 66/69 missions into the game. When I look in my stats, it shows that I have 3 missions left to complete, I'm not sure if the game counts the heist/heist setups as main missions, but that is what I'm on. I'm currently in the middle of a heist set up, and just to avoid major story spoilers, I'll say that I'm basically just waiting for an email that is supposed to tell me what to do next. Well, I've played for hours on end, and have even done side missions, in hopes that it would help continue the mission progress, but still nothing. No email. I've played for around five hours with each character since then, finding collectibles, doing side missions, and just driving around. Still nothing. I have no available main missions or strangers/freaks missions left. It's as if the game is just stuck. Now what I think has caused this, was after doing the first Heist setup part(involves stealing a police van), I was playing as Michael and finished the Epsilon side quest. And then after that, I replayed the last Epsilon part to try and get gold. But I did this before I got my email for the heist, and I think it must've glitched it somehow? Anyways, I sent an email to Rockstar support, in hopes that they might be able to walk me through a solution, or at least fix it in a patch. But I just wanted to make a thread about it. I suggest no one do any missions in between heist setups just to avoid this(as I said, I'm not entire sure if this is what caused it, but it's all I can think of). Basically your supposed to recieve a email from your hacker about the gauntlet muscle cars which triggers the next heist setup mission "Gauntlet" as far I've read. I've played roughly 10 more hours after doing the stingers mission (stealing the police van) and still haven't received the email. I also email Rockstar support but haven't received anything back about the issue. Have they said anything to you? They replied with some copy/paste email telling me to delete my cache. Doesn't work. Not that I expected it to, deleting your cache only removes the game updates. I actually ended up calling them and the guy said I should just load a previous save, as they don't know any quick fix. So either load an older save or wait for a patch that hopefully fixes it. I played like 10 hours on my new save and I'm almost caught up. He asked me to tell him exactly what happened so he can try to recreate the bug. I responded and I'll just have to wait and see if they find and fix it. It would make me feel a lot better if they would put this issue on one of their official support topics. At least to let people know that they're aware and working on a fix. DaFowlHunter Posted October 1, 2013 Share Posted October 1, 2013 Can't start last heist either, I'm stuck as Michael, I cannot even bring up the wheel to switch people and no mission icon, except for a stranger for Trevor, but I cannot switch to him. I can enter the strip club. I went to look at the heist board and the "Upgrade Vehicles" is not checked. All other are. I have already done all of the Gauntlet missions, got gold on each. Done "stingers" gold. I went back and re-did them all still nothing... Help. Don't know if it's related but I went to try to do the last parachute that I had to do, up in the desert at the O' Neils Ranch, I got in the helocopter and it just keeps going up and up until finally it breaks down, the pilot jumps and the then crashes in the ocean, but I don't die I just stay there sinking and sinking. I cannot do anything at all only pause. Do you guys have the same problem? If so might want to let R* know about that as well, maybe it is related to this glitch.
