Some Solutions (Maybe) For Certain Issues

Hi guys.

 

I'm new here, just had to make this post to let people know that I have had a load of problems with gta 5.

First off I have a 6 yr old refurbed ring of death xbox 360.

 

Now to the problems I've had.

 

1. Severely jagged edges.

2. Unusual pop-in.

3. Oily or purple hue on textures (usually black metallic cars or clothing) at night.

4. Cutscene audio cannot be heard.

 

Now to the solutions ( again I have to stress that they may not fix everyone's problems but they have definitely made the game more playable for me).

 

1. I have not found a complete solution to this, but I reduced my resolution to 720 from 1080 on my xbox, which helped a little. I then adjusted my tv settings, reducing sharpness from 70% to 30%, which helps alot, the key here is getting the balance between too many jaggedness to being to blurry.

 

2. I have not found a solution for this yet, I imagine that it is game/HDMI or reading from the CD or hard disk which is causing it. It's either my system or the game.

 

3. TV settings do not affect this, I realised that this was severely influenced by lighting in the game, so I reduced the IN GAME BRIGHTNESS ie START >SETTINGS>DISPLAY>BRIGHTNESS. Looking at it now the oily purple Textures have completely gone.

 

4. The solution to this was given by a previous poster, he recommends going to your sound settings in HDMI settings on your xbox and adjusting these. What I did though was turn off the game, remove my hard disk and reinsert it. Which seems to have worked.

Doesn't seem to solve issue 3, just makes it less noticeable.

Diegan, I don't notice it anymore at all

 

In any case to have as many issues just screams out that there is something wrong with the game or system
