Do Car wheels fall off?

I was driving through the desert and crashed into a car. The other cars front wheel on the left seemed to have fallen off. I don't know if this was a bug or not? I know you get flat tires and that the tires fall off, but do the actual wheels?

 

Anyone else seen this?

I tried to do as much damage as I could, I notice the wheels bend in some way so they can't turn anymore and you just skid. But they didn't fall off.

It's not an easy feat, but they can indeed come off. I've had it happen once when I drove off a mountain. My car hit, and one me of wheels came off.

They will fall off. Best way to see it is if it gets hit by a train.

I've seen quite a few photos of it in Snapmatic. It's definitely possible to do so, but it might take really heavy damage until it happens.

Not really difficult, just one solid ram to the wheel directly will smash it right off, if not the wheel will be terribly disproportioned.
