Not enough songs on the radio

I've got over 1,722 songs on my ipod, and I'm already tired of most of them. I'm always searching for new bands and music to listen to. After a while, I get tired of hearing the same set of songs over and over again. 240 songs is a lot to you? Ha. If he only likes 10 of 240 that's totally understandable.

It's interesting that they implemented the IRL way of "hit songs" being played A LOT on the radio stations. Almost every time I steal a car that has the pop station on it's either Rihanna or Pet Shop Boys, for Channel X it's f*cking Amoeba which raped my ears back during THPS days, Radio Los Santos is fond of Clyde Carson (Slow Down is actually a good song for cruising so it doesn't matter), Flylo has Tyler the creator etc. etc. etc.

I read Flylo has Windowlicker by Aphex Twin, I have heard it ONCE.
I read this game has C-Walk by Kurupt which is the pinnacle of gangsta rap. I have heard it a few times, because it's still dre and next episode erryday.

At the moment I'm listening to talk radios, they always save the day.

It does feel like less. The music in V is way better than IV. But I do feel a bit let down with the way they did Los Santos Rock Radio too many songs that just don't have a hard hitting sound.

 

Right now I find myself listening to Radio Los Santos, Space, The Low Down and West Coast Classics. The rest I just skip. Once in while if I hear a good song on the Pop station or LSRR station I'll leave it on.

 

Really wish we had custom soundtracks. The soundtrack is getting kind of repetitive for me.

This is the best soundtrack in a GTA, the songs are catchy, smooth and nice to drive to. This the first GTA where I didn't immediately go to the rap station. We live in a culture that's elbow deep in nostalgia, worshipping everything 80's and 90's, for this reason we don't take the time to reflect on how.... Lacking, the respective soundtracks were for San Andreas and Vice City. I really enjoyed ALL the stations (even the country station.) and found them all to be fitting given the theme of the city.

I think 240 songs is enough. As someone said earlier, this music is what is contemporary. For me VC will always be best but this is a joint second with SA. It's also a massive improvement of the mess that was IV. I think if you can't find anything to like out of 240 songs then you need to re-evaluate your taste in music. I am by no means a fan of 'pop culture' but even I find some good stuff here.

Ah, I didn't know the stations were replicing "hit" stations. To be honest though it's one trope this game could do without I repeatadly hear the same couple songs over and over and I switch stations a lot.

 

I feel like I'm stuck in a time warp in the year 2000 everytime I hear Mis-teeq's Scandalous. lol

Of those 240 songs i've hardly recognised any of them. The radio soundtrack sucks for me

Because it's only possible to like music you already know. That's a healthy attitude in life.

 

Why are you trying so hard to defend the soundtrack? I mean, some people don't like it. You can't expect everyone to like the same things you do. Get over it, move on, play the game, and if you like the music good for you! Too bad you can't have your own custom radio station like on the PC version? This will be a must have for me when the PC version is out. I hate rap, hip hop, and pop. And from what I've heard for myself, and what others have said, the game's radio station is mostly filled with this kind of music.

 

When it comes to diversity, GTA IV and San Andreas has that down pat, but that's not say I don't like the other radio stations of the other games.

Well, there's also classic and indie rock, country, punk, electronica, general indie, a few others and the 2 talk stations. Really, there's no diversity? Just because you've heard people taking about. Rap, hip hop and pop are just the most common stations to appear when you get in a car. They count for 3 of 16 stations. Please try and play the game instead of drowning us all in your PC superiority. When will pc gamers realise that a) this gave WILL be coming out on PC (not directed at you) and b) nobody cares about what they have to say if it involves them saying they're gonna make the game better.

Top lel, they said 240 songs but it feels like there's 60 songs in the game.

 

Out of all songs on the radio so far that I have NEVER listened to before, I only fell in love with like 6.

There are a lot, but I only tend to listen to 4-5 radio station searching for the songs I like, lol
