Proof that singleplayer safehouses are in the game (or should be)

Hey there!

 

I've been having an awesome time wrecking down hours and hours of GTA V already. In fact I've completed the game on the day of the midnight release playing for about 20-22 hours straight. Now I've been working on all the sidemissions and I made money and what not - I don't wanna spoil anything so I won't say how you get how much money but I got a good bit.

 

So I was like: Let's get a new place to live in!

 

Now looking on "eyefind" I found two websites that sell real-estate, one that sells business and another that sells safehouses. Now the business site does work and show me which houses I can buy - doesn't let me buy them though and the safehouse site is just telling me it's down.

 

I went on these forums to find out others are having this issue - and I completed at least 80% of the game and still have not unlocked it - I feel this is wrong.

 

I figured: Maybe they're not in single-player, because I sure remember them in the MP trailer - so I looked over the SP trailer and found this:

and at 4:30 it'll get interesting.

 

I hope this is not a bug or I bricked the story by doing certain things. Could anyone help me here?

Rockstar said as a comment in their newswire there aren't any safe houses (house properties) to buy in SP. (they probably removed it before the release).
Dynasty8 is connecting to R* Socialclub and they just took it down in maintenance. It's probably for GTA:O now (I guess, more than the apartment).

Really hate them for removing this while they confirmed it in the SP trailer that you could buy it.

you CAN buy different businesses around LS and B. County they appear on the map with a little house symbol that dynesty site is down it shows houses for sale but i dont think you really use them as a safe house, GTAO has 20 different places to buy that you can live in and you can only one as a time but you can upgrade as soon as you can afford it

So during the whole game you can't purchase a new home? So Trevor is going to make all this money from heists and still live in a sh*tty mobile home? So Franklin is going to make all this money from heists and still live with his mom, aunt or whoever that women is?

My question is why do you need a new safe house? You can save anywhere.

No.

For example; Franklin will receive an mansion up in vinewood hills for free from Lester while doing missions for him.

I just hope that they're release a good SP dlc which would add like maybe new character and some stuff community have been asking for but that big focus on GTO make me think that they will not improve SP

It's a single player trailer and they say that stuff as a thing to do in single player and then swing to "then there's GTA Online". That's missleading cutomers.

They never planned on adding SP buyable safehouses. It just would not work out (buy a new house as Michael = where does your family go? Does it stay in the main safehouse or move to the new one?).

The gameplay trailer was NOT classified as a pure SP gameplay trailer, the safehouse bit we saw was probably from the online gameplay (I know, there is a seperate online trailer and they even say that they will show online properly, the way they said it kind of implied that there was already a few things from online in the existing trailer, in another trailer BUT they probably added that one point in anyways to cause a bit more hype). It does NOT say "GTA V Singleplayer Gameplay", it says GTA V Gameplay which could span both SP and MP.

 

It was a clever marketing trick nothing more. If you search for GTA V buyable safehouses or so you will find dozens of articles/interviews where it's always said that you cannot buy safehouses in SP. People fail to acknowledge this and only see what they want to see, it's sad.

Look at the trailer at the link I provided - it's part of the single player part of the trailer. Clearly is and it's clearly divided.

I don't even see how buying safehouses would work with the single player story. So I don't care that they're not in single player.

Rockstar still said there wont be any buyable safehouses throughout the years and never changed that stance. It's probably a f*ck-up on their part.
