Idk if i should let it keep running and stuff, the music doesnt play anymore, it doesnt repeat it just shows the pictures and the circle thingy moves on, but it just wont move on. wtf... :ccc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I did every solution method possible on you tube and I inevitably got games to play. I boot up my Xbox Slim 250 gb (180 free) and start the instal. It freezes at 3600. I do what they advise by deleting the file off the hard drive, clear out my system cache, then shut it down for a restart. It doesnt work. Still freezes at 3600. I think this issue is related to my open tray error so I repeat this process, ohhh, about 40 times.... I got the game Tuesday. I was believing that it might have been my disk laser not being up to speed so the game would freeze because the laser crapped out, and that one time it would stay steady the entire time and I would have access to play. It didnt worked, install always froze at around 3600. So I went and bought a new Xbox Slim thinking that open tray was my issue, even though I could load other games. I boot my old GTA disk into the new Xbox.... bam, freezes at 3600 on the brand new xbox. I retry the install 3 more times. I just bought a brand new damn council and its doing the same thing my old one did, which I thought was because of my "open tray issue" The dude, who has been watching my issues the entire time of me buying a new Xbox, then having the issue two times in the exact same way, gladly exchanged the game in hopes that was actually the issue. Im currently at 6500/7876....... soooooo. Ill let you know what happens and if it completes. UPDATE: Downloads complete and Im currently adjusting my display. Its 100% the disks fault for this. I have tested 3 Xbox's on 1 set of disks, go buy another, and the issue is fixed. Go back to gamestop and show them this post. Its an issue with your Xbox Slim and the game.
