AUS-damox
I'm sure most of you know that the Grand Theft Auto V: The Manual contains the 'official' maps. There are six (0-5) different zoom levels for each of the three map types (Satellite, Roadmap and Atlas). Zoom Level 0 = 256x256 (65,536 pixels) Zoom Level 1 = 512x512 (262,144 pixels) Zoom Level 2 = 1024x1024 (1,048,576 pixels) Zoom Level 3 = 2048x2048 (4,194,304 pixels) Zoom Level 4 = 4096x4096 (16,777,216 pixels) Zoom Level 5 = 8192x8192 (67,108,864 pixels) Yesterday I stitched together the chunks to create single images of the maps at the various zoom levels. Satellite Zoom Level 0 * Lowest Resolution Zoom Level 1 Zoom Level 2 Zoom Level 3 Zoom Level 4 Zoom Level 5 * Highest Resolution Roadmap Zoom Level 0 * Lowest Resolution Zoom Level 1 Zoom Level 2 Zoom Level 3 Zoom Level 4 Zoom Level 5 * Highest Resolution Atlas Zoom Level 0 * Lowest Resolution Zoom Level 1 Zoom Level 2 Zoom Level 3 Zoom Level 4 Zoom Level 5 * Highest Resolution I originally posted them on my blog as I wasn't sure where the maps would get the best expose/usage. Hope you can get some good use out of them Stitched images are free of personal/additional watermarks and originally belong to Rockstar Games, a wholly owned subsidiary of Take Two Interactive. timstertimster2
I originally posted them on my blog as I wasn't sure where the maps would get the best expose/usage. Hope you can get some good use out of them GOOD USE???!??? Hells yeah! I am working on a Google maps integration and I have the base working fine, thanks to your perfectly usable maps! I just wish they'd be much higher res, but I faked it in photoshop by increasing the size and applying a bit of sharpen filters... looks pretty good. My next step is to get a few people - volunteers - who will help me populate the map with points of interest. The usual stuff like stunt jumps, collectibles, but more importantly, the GOOD STUFF, like money exploit positions, and later-on probably GTAO-related locations like spawn points etc... I'm working on making it a wiki-type thing where approved members can add locations to the map with annotations, because if I made it open to everyone, it would get vandalized in no time. I'm still working on tablet/mobile optimizing the map because that's how I want to use it. I have roadmap implemented, now need to do satellite and atlas - so you can switch view. So, if you're interested and comitted to helping make THE DEFINITIVE UNOFFICIAL GTA V map, let me know. below you can see my highest level of detail - it's a bit pixelated since the original image was lower resolution than I use in the map. click image to see full view - you can see each berth in the marina, so it's possible to add locations with that level of granularity. Sami Uso
Sadly I can't use the manual because my browser won't load the info panel on the official website. I'm using Google Chrome but I also have tried on Firefox but still same problem. Is their a certain software that needs to be installed? Flashplayer is already installed if that's it. CheckSix
I bought the PC game through Steam, but remembered that there was a map in the PS3 version I played some time ago, so I dragged that out, but the Satellite and Atlas maps are great. Thanks for all the effort you went into in producing these, and thanks for sharing them. +

Kirk Lazarus
I found this image used as the splash screen thumbnail to several GTA videos. I suspect it's a fan map that's been re-used to look like something official. It's a good quality effort and I'd love to find the source of it instead of some screencap. Does anyone have any ideas where this came from? Is there a better forum or thread to ask this?
