But from what i have read and been told. The freezing, gfx and lag issues are still the minority. I know its not an answer that wants to be heard.. but do you remember fight club? when he said if the cost of the recall is more than the cost of the "unsatisfied customers" it wont get done. I think this is the case with GTA V for the time being... a billion dollars profit for a maybe a couple of million dollars from clients complaining.... Mine is still the same one i bought 6 years ago, the "pro" one. Still has the HDMI port, im hoping for it to be a faulty HDD and trying a flash drive but then i arent getting my hopes up. think this is the case with GTA V for the time being... a billion dollars profit for a maybe a couple of million dollars from clients complaining... Yep im sure it will be sorted eventually but as you say its mostly in the minority and they still have to work on GTA online, so its down to us individually at the moment, if i cant get it to work with usb install my only option is a new console. Is the problems just as pronounced on a slim 360 from what you have seen? Like judging by this forum 85% of problems people have an older console, only seen 1 or 2 with a slim experiencing anything. It's quite annoying most games companies would only dream of making that much money, when youve made $1bn+, it makes us seem to rockstar more insignificant. Quite pathetic though that they spend five years and >$138 million and they cut the corners of not testing it on all xbox types. It's either that or a case of false advertising and money grabbing from them..Whatever it Is, it's a poor show... chosendonkey Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 have 360 slim 250 gb. started off looping through prologue. then got to franklin and would restart at chase. then random spots. now wont even load. ive gotten hard drive errors and unreadable disc errors. 5 different copies. every way of installing and playing possible. im done trying all these things that arent going to fix crap software. last rockstar game im ever buying which ill also be returning. im so sick of people saying how awesome the game is when i cant play it. Are they likely to patch this within the foreseeable future? People with slims are having the problem too. Well my xbox support agent told me to get a new xbox because we need a HMDI conncection... I dont know what he used today My rep said that too. Clearly bullsh*t though, my disc of gta v works fine in my friend's console who doesn't even use his hdmi port. Yeah thats crap. Works fine on my 2005 arcade with 20gig drive through the component cable. Mine wasn't the same error where it freezes, well it was but mine was just after install and you put in play disc, i always got restarted and a hard freeze when it was "loading story mode" with "storage issues". I suppose my issue all along was my hard drive being sh*t, but i could still freeze yet i dont know the precise moment you guys ones does not work with. First I explain that I have the console with a mod on the fans to go to 12v (may change the original voltage of 12V). When are the fans at 12v (maximum air flow and a deafening noise) I could not play more than 2 hours straight until I was tired when I happened to 5v console lasted two seconds and froze. Restart 12v went back to make this cooler for the 360 and no problem.It is clear that the GTA V squeezes the maximum GPU and our consoles with Xenon or Zephyr motherboard overheated causing it locks the xbox 360.I have already decided to buy a xbox 360 S before it goes in Spain the "model E" in order to continue to enjoy my games in coming years. I had an 08 refurbished with no hdmi 20gb model (I did upgrade to a 120gb hdd though). I followed the instructions by antler in the video earlier in the thread that had me move my save game data to the cloud. Then I moved the install data (disc 1) to a 16gb usb then I installed the play disc data on the HDD. I then cleared the cache 2 times on both the hdd and the usb stick. I then downloaded the atomic blimp from the in-game menu. I now have no problems with freezing whereas before I had constant freezing and can only play for 10-15 minutes. I just wanted to share my store and hopefully someone else's problems gets fixed by trying this too. Thanks to the community who actually gave me a fix rather then rockstar support who suggest it was my disc or xbox when I can still play every other game I own with no problem. Also, How to install on USB? It was either a replacement or a fixed one from getting RROD. I recently bought gta5 and ive played it for a while getting freezes all over the place. I've reinstalled and went through 2 USBs (both 16gb) and a second HDD (60 gb) but it still freezes. I've reformatted and reset cache numerous times and this is my second copy of the game.
