GTA V graphic issues (x360 version)

If you're using a USB 2.0 thumb drive, Rockstar recommends it have a minimum read speed of 15 mb/s and preferably be new.

Note that Rockstar does not recommend installing the play disc to HDD or to USB drive, although most people have found the USB drive to work fine and if DVD noise is a deal-breaker for you this is what to do.

Also note that many thumb drives fail to read 15mb/s in tests. Get a good one. The official SanDisk Xbox 360 flash drive is sometimes faster than 15mb/s, sometimes not.

Anyone saying these issues aren't there are either lying to themselves or to you. The draw distance is something I noted on day one and it was bugging the hell out of me. It truly sucks. Peds popping out of nowhere, signs are not even clear enough to read until your withing like 15 feet, shaddows are all shaky and totally change as you get closer. Its really not impressive at all.

Basically if your driving fast through the city the textures dont load fast enough and you see them pop in. Thats on top of the jagged lines.

How about rockstar just release a game that works. There shouldn't have to be an instruction manual on how to get started for any game. Its ridiculous.

Reduce sharpness on the TV/monitor you're using. This softens the picture so that the jagged lines are less noticeable.

Also maybe the game didn't install correctly on your Xbox. I had a problem like this on PS3 for The Last of Us. but with blurry textures.

If either method doesn't work for you, it could be 1 of 2 things.

1. You notice these things better than most people. The ones that claim that they don't notice the pop-ins, jagged lines, and so on are just used to the poor graphics quality.

2. It actually is your Xbox. If your Xbox is loud while playing the game, it means it's getting old, and all the game is putting it to work. Nothing you can really do about this except to change the thermal paste. It'll help the Xbox dissipate heat better and extend its life.

If you still notice these things, then you're SOL. Wait for a PC release. Good luck :^:

The reason for it is to push the 360 beyond its normal limits. To get this much content onto the screen, with the limited amount of RAM a console has, this game design relies on having two pipelines of data coming from separate storage devices. Neither pipeline by itself is big enough for all the data to get through fast enough.

Set your 360 to 720p via the dashboard. then on your tv settings lower the sharpness to 0 and turn off any fancy image enchancers the tv may have. Also don't use Dynamic as a tv setting, keep it standard
